Im searching for businesses that I could become a consultant for. I am signing up with Avon as soon as the Rep calls me back, but was also looking at At Home America. I don't have time for doing at home parties though. Can anyone suggest a good company that doesn't require a fortune to get started with, doesn't require parties, and pays ok. I think the best one is in the telecommuniations industry with the largest direct selling Telecommunication service provider in the world. They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it's first five years. They are registered with the BBB and FDSA as well.
They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc as well. We save people money and make money at the same time. Every single month these people pay their bills, we make a percentage over and over again each month. Donald Trump has endorsed our company and uses the services as well.
How many people do you know, or know of around the world that uses one or more of these services or products? . A lot of people right? You can save them money and make money.

If you want to sign up with Avon without having to wait on a rep to call you back or meet up with you, you can do it online. You will need either a credit or debit card to pay the 10.00 fee, and your materials will ship to your door with UPS within 7 days of signing up. Although, you can immediately sign up with the Avon website right after they send you your confirmation email, and start your training online right then. I have to say though - if you don't have time for potential customers - why bother? It sounds like you might be underestimating the time committment it takes to have a successful (even mildly successful) company that you run out of your home.
The other thing I would suggest you do is first pin down your passion and then look for companies in that industry. If you don't love the company you won't learn as much, you won't explain things as well, and people will see it.
It doesn't matter how firmly established a company is. If you don't like it - it won't work.
You can start in any industry - pick something that lights a fire.

I Love Avon! It has quality products at affordable prices. They have such a wide selection of items to choose from that there is something for everyone. To join is inexpensive and they have online training and more.
I say stick with Avon. If the rep you got in contact with you doesnt call, you can sign up online with a select few representatives in the online appt program. I have alot of Avon FaQ's and info about online signups on my profile. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
