I saw this ad at craigslist selling sidekick 3 for $200, so I contact the seller and he told me he offer in store pick up or shipping with fedex, here is his link http://www.classifiedbiz.com/product_desc.php?id=3644
since I'm not from FL, I told him that I can't go to his store to pick up, so he offer me that he'll ship with fedex, and told me to pay through western union, do you think this is a scam? Thanks!

tmobile offers the sidekick 3 for the same price... so i suggest it probably is a scam if you want one for 200 dollars then you should just buy it through tmobile. Be careful! |

Yes, don't use money orders for something like this. If he has a store he can take a credit card, which gives you some antifraud protection. |

I wouldnt trust it sounds fishy too me.
I use craigslist and I sold my Dog on craigslist
and I only bought in my area for the simple
fact their are some shady characters on
there.one guy was selling what he said

Ummm... I don't know... you should call Western Union first and ask them how you can proceed if you wire money to someone and they don't deliver a product. If there is some way that they can reimburse you (the way a credit card company would), then I would give it a shot. But if they can't reimburse you, then I would forget it.
The product could also be broken or damaged too...

If he's a real store, he should be able to take your cc#. If he's not, he should be able to take Paypal.
Western Union is a scam. (Think what a pain it would be for him to go there all the time to do business.) See below for details...

Personally, I would never send anyone I don't know money through Western Union. If I am purchasing a product, I would use my credit card, this way you have some type of recourse, in the event the product never arrives... |

I can't say for sure, but this does seem like a scam ... especially since you were told to pay through Western Union. Any legitimate dealer would take debit or credit cards or Paypal ... so keep looking for a better place to get your Sidekick 3 ... |

Sure does! There is no way for you to know if this is legit. No buyer or seller comments, the telephone number has no area code before it. You can try to call the Florida Better Business Bureaus , or BBB and see if they are listed. Presonally, I'd keep my money and try somewhere else, if he has this good of a deal someone with better credentials probably does too. Better safe than sorry. |
