I work in the service line. What's the worst customer you've seen or encountered? How do you deal with them?
Also, whenever the customer is not convinced some look for the owner even the manager is there. Do I really have to bring them the owner??? Some customers are exaggerated. What will I tell them. I'm new at work so please help. |

I have worked in customer service for nearly 10 years now. At one point I worked in the baggage service office of a major airline where my responsibility was to take claims for passengers with lost or dammaged luggage. Needless to say, I was yelled out and threatened constantly. That was the worst of my customer service experience, but every job has had its share of difficult customers, including my job as an emergency dispatcher now. I think our society as a whole has developed an attitude that by being rude, you can get whatever you want. This has created a culture of rudeness that has gotten out of control and has become accepted. I think as a customer service rep, our responsibility is to stop rewarding such rude behavior so that we can send a message to the public that it is not acceptable. I personally never reward rude customers, and I do not go out of my way to do anything special for them. If someone is nice and talks to me as though I am a human being, I provide them with the best possible service I can by giving them any extra benefits and ensuring that they get what they deserve (even making exceptions to policy). I think it is important that we all do this because our society has truly become one where "the nice guy loses." I frequently see my co-workers giving in to rude customers and giving them everything they demand. This simply fuels the fire and teaches them that rude behavior gets you what you want. Please do your share to reverse this trend and reward nice, polite, humane behavior; not rudeness. ---- Thanks |

I work in M&S and just couple of days ago i served one customer who dropped a pound coin at middle of 2 till. it was impossible for us to get that coz those are attached with the flore. I tried for him but i had to say sorry. But he acted like that was my mistake and anyhow i have to give him 1 pound. i gave him one pound from my own pocket like i use to give tips to the waiter. only for one pound he acted so stupid and i feel sorry for him. coz most of our customer are rich and they don't care abt money but the person was like dieing for that pound. |

hahah its funny when you attempt to help a customer on the salesfloor yes and when they turn around and ask for the manager but im the manager to so! LOL. The looks on their faces are priceless I tell you. Just get them the manager on duty that should work. Just always be polite and try to help them as best you can, customer service is something youll devolp overtime, Ive been in it for 5 years so. If their is no manager or owner on duty then simply tell them im sorry mam- sir- their not on duty right now but you can call back at such and such a time to reach such and such. Often times I find vague answers to be the most satisfing to customers. Most are idiots anyways and get angry over the most stupid stuff. Just remember no matter how angry they get- dont get angry with them, listen, understand but dont agree always! |

gaaaah! i've had more problems then i care to remember. i used to work at a hotel. the key is not to kiss their *** but try to appease them in a reasonable way.
i took a dale carnegie course in customer service. now i have a different view of things. don't try to battle, try to resolve & understand. customers appreciate to be heard.
be creative, make them feel important. you'll be thanked (eventually) |

first of all talk in a soft voice and in a polite way with ur customer,secondly don't got him to the manager or owner . firstly try to solve that problem yourself . |
