One thing you can do to start is become a distributor for what you would be passionate about selling...say hand-made soy candles, for instance. Say you researched candles and love soy candles because they burn longer and without sout, they are a way better choice due to your research. You can become a distributor for such a candle company. For example, I am for one and I have my own domain (that I purchased at Godaddy.com for cheap) and I "forward" my domain name to the name of the company who's candles I sell....they give a free website...so I point it to that. Check it out here: http://www.iluvthesecandles.com Now, you can go around promoting YOUR domain name (get biz cards, put up ads,etc.) and start your small biz like that until you have more funds to start your own company (or maybe stick to doing this!) I can purchase from my company wholesale and sell them online (ebay) or in person at fairs, craft shows, offices,etc. So, you have your own company but at such a low cost!
