You would need a food hygiene certificate and a street trades' licence. Failure to get either would make you illegal, unless you set up the van on private land. You need to tell the Inland Revenue you are self employed, but do not need to register for VAT unless your turnover exceeds £63,000 per year. Only charge VAT if you need a VAT number. If you charge VAT when you do not need to, this is fraud!
And don't go too close to someone else's "patch" or your business may be shortlived, and so will you hahah |

Just need to get a licence for a pitch here in the UK. - And a health and hygeine certificate.
Youre more likely to have to pay the local 'firm' for the priviledge if youre in London or Manchester |

You would need to get a food selling license
You would need to have the van/truck inspected and health inpection certification passed
You will probably have to be certified by the local health and food servers board/commission
You will need to get a general business license and a state tax license.
Then it's a matter of buying inventory and getting out there and selling burgers |

You do not need a degree of any kind to run or own a food business, or any business for that matter. You simply need to apply to your city for a license to run your business. Then you will need to be inspected by the state health board on a regular basis. good luck |
