Not really.
I get far more frustrated at the idiots who leave negative feedback for non-delivery after only 3 working days - without emailing you to let you know there is a problem.
Or the spanners who leave poor ratings for delivery times because they couldn't be bothered to pick their package up from the post office.
Or the pond-life who report your items to eBay even though they are ok to list - just because they sell something similar and want to knock out the competition.
Or the foot-cheese execs at eBay it'self who keep mucking about with the site - 'improving' searches and making the whole site impossible to use for both seller and buyer.
.........so overall, no - not getting feedback isn't the worst thing.
I need a drink. |

Yes, feedback is important to create a trust between people. Would you buy a certain something from somebody with a 100% rep from 5000 people, or the same thing from somebody else for the same price but with only 400 100% feedback?
Contact him, and politely ask for honest feedback.
Cheers. |

Sure, it bothers me, but I'm more wary of people who buy a product only to ask for a refund or go for a chargeback. The more honest buyers 'do' leave feedback and I appreciate their business. |

Yes especially now Pay pal have started putting a hold on some funds till you get good feedback for the goods you have sent.
Takes ages for them to release the money back to you as well. |

If I haven't received feedback 3 days after I posted it (4 days if 2nd class) then I send them a message asking if they've recieved it, at which point they often reply saying 'sorry I forgot to leave feedback' and leave feedback... |

They've probably forgotten, just email them and ask them to do it and say you'll do the same once they have.
If they STILL don't leave it then yes get annoyed. |

ask your self first why, then ask them. |

When listing an item, specify that the positive feedback will be left after the buyer leaves his feedback. If they don't bother, then don't bother with theirs either. |

Its optional we know that. You could always not leave any for them until you receive it. But its not worth getting worked up about. As above mentioned theres other things that are far far more annoying.
Sometimes you buy things on ebay and they are as described but not what you hoped for, not worth leaving neg feedback for but you feel reluctant to leave positive so it just gets left.
You don't necessarily thank shop keepers when you buy items from them, its business and you are both benefitting, granted manners should come into it but im not sure about gratitude. Feedback is just meant to be a record of how the transaction went but we all seem to put 'thank you' so have come to expect it. |

I don't leave feedback when I've had a problem with the person. If for example it took 2 weeks to arrive, if it was badly packaged or if it wasn't quite as described. If they badger me for feedback I leave them negative. Just think about the whole transaction and see if there's anything you could improve on. |

Contact them and ask for it...........if it is you who is giving the thumbs down then it is understandable that you are getting no feedback. |
