This is a tough one because it really depends so much on your specific skillset and what you personally like to do. There is literally a work at home opportunity for every possible niche that you can think of. So I would really counsel sitting down and working out what you are passionate abouit and what you do/dont enjoy doing. That way when you really have to work hard to make the $$$ start to flow then it wont seem like such a big grind.
I woudl recommend one specific opportunity over alot of others...mainly because ive been involved in it and have become rather successful at it. So if your intereste in working in the health niche and helping people then checkout the site in my signature link.

Compared to a traditional business, no. The amount of capitol necessary to get started depends on the specific type of business that you desire to start. If you know of a specific business or seek ideas and resources you can check out SBA or your local SCORE chapter. http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org and http://www.entrepreneur.com are all helpful links. The web host that I use also has some great examples of home based businesses. http://find.sitesell.com/UnstoppableDreams.html

The income opportunity is incredible in home based business. You just need to find one that you'd enjoy getting involved in and one that has a great compensation plan. Most home based business cost under $500. Some cost more depending on what it is you want to do.
I don't know what you like to do, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago and point you out to some others to take a look at. Ours well supports our family of six. We have four children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1. It is also becoming a major funding source for non-profit organizations.
We got involved in the telecommunications industry with a world wide company that's over 15 years old. We've been featured in several magazines Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're already using? Every time they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It's incredible how much money is involved in this industry.
I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business's. There's over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them for some ideas.

it depends upon the business you wanted to put-up. but like us, we have a home-based business (finger-licking foods), it needs only a minimum capital. And take note, business like this, it should be cash basis so that you could roll it over. in such a way, bad debts could be avoided and you would be amazed the growth of it. |

No, it is based out of your home. The only money you would need to spend was for your product. |

Depends on the business and how much work you have to put into it. If it's sale of something you already have then it should be cheaper, but if you have to buy something, make a product and then sell it, it can be expensive.
If it's providing some sort of service like tutoring or teaching dance, it is the cheapest. |

Depends I have started two businesses. One cost me $20,000 to start, which quickly folded. The other cost me a few thousand, which I sold as soon as it got a little bigger. Depends on what you want to start. It isn't a work when you want to, be your own boss type area. You have to work seven days a week all day long. NO breaks, vacations or time off. It really is work. Be sure that is what you want to do before you get lost. |

I love what I do and it helped me get in shape, be healthier and really help others!
You do not need any special training. All you need is a commitment to your own fitness program and the desire to help others.
I make money every week and I get Free customers directly from advertising that the company does. I know you have seen the ads for Power 90, P90X, Turbo Jam or Hip Hop abs, Slim in 6 etc.
Here's some info for you:

The cost is so small (under $40.00 to get your business Kit and then 14.95 per month for a website).
I can help you get started and it is real simple. The business can build itself after just a little effort on your part. Anyone can do it. You just need to support people and stay consistent with your own fitness program.
Let me know if you want help with this. I am so happy I found something like this and get very excited to share it with people. I get paid every week and still can't believe it!
Have a Great Day!
