The correct answer is...a little bit.

The ingredients of Windex are:

1-5% - Isopropanol
0.5-1.5% - 2-Butoxyethanol
0.1-1.0% - Ethylene glycol n-hexyl ether
and 90-95% Water

The first three are forms of alcohol, which do sanitize. But their concentration is not high enough to kill some bacteria. It will work as a sanitizer against MOST bacterial strains, however.

No it does not. I have worked in many restaurants and taken health courses. I have learned that you are not supposed to use glass cleaner near cooking areas.

Just do NOT mix it with anything containing bleach.
