I am in Title Pawn and I love it! I get to help people re-establish thier credit. And, it's a very cut & dry job. Either you pay, or lose your car. Period. No in between, maybe we will or maybe we won't stuff. Plus, the company I work for is very family friendly, and they are great about letting us have extra days off for holidays. I also have more freedom on this job than I've ever had with any other. |

I haven't been active for a while. But, back in 2003-4, I had an extended engagement as a Nightclub Psychic, which was the best gig in the world.
I was my own boss. My work uniform was an Hawaiian shirt and a bandana headband, and several times a night I would spend 10-15 minutes gazing into the eyes of a beautiful woman while she hung on my every word--and she paid me for it!
Of course, if I went in a on Wednesday, I had to play sidekick, (as Willie Nelson,) to an Elvis Impersonator, sing a couple of songs--and be pawed by horny, drunken women professionals who I would sometimes make out with, (there were 3 hospitals and several Law Firms within a two mile radius,) in return for which I might pick up a few readings and some extra bux. So, as downsides go, I guess that part of it wasn't too bad.
Odd to think that I ended up breaking into show biz at the age of 50. The Elvis Impersonator is still a friend and last August, I got to sing a duet with him at the Chicago House of Blues in front of a paying audience.
Edit: To Ridefakey2. "Civil Engineer" is a redundancy. I can't recall ever running into an Incivil Engineer. |
