You could do child care (since you are in the mode) it's lucrative but "work"!
Also sell things at an auction site - this is tricky as the jig is up and finding products is hard - and you buy in bulk.
I suggest net work marketing. You find a product you and your family like and would use. Speak from the heart and gain customers (network family and friends)
then you meet people who would likely join your team and be in to it too - it takes time. Low start up fee -
Everyone says "oh, I can't sell" but most people sell them-self short. If you stick to it you will be surprised how successful you could be. |

Ah, how many times I wish someone would have had The answer to this question for me. Personally, though I have kids, I never wanted to do childcare in my home. It can be lucrative though and you get to be with your own children as well as them having in house playmates. I decided to take a passion of mine and find a way to make it a business. I am still working a 8-5 job but I am in the beginning stages of starting my own e-publishing house.
It's hard work, but I love it. I would suggest the same for you. Internet businesses are, in my opinion, the best for working from home. You can work on your business when the kids are napping, on a play date or after the fall asleep for the night. At least that's what I do :)
Anything you love can be made into a business. If you love fashion, you could start a designer "once loved" (used - lol) clothing store (on line or off). If you love to paint, you could offer a service where you will paint a portrait from a photo. You get the drift.
In any business you must market, market, market.

I started a home based business just over a year ago and I wish someone would have offered me this when my kids were younger. I missed my kids younger years.
I am in a business that does not have a start up fee. (There are a few home based businesses that don't require a fee)You have your first party in your home and you earn your Starter Kit free (over $350 value).
-No inventory unless you want it.
-You stay home with your children during the day and you work when you want. You will get calls to order without having a show also.
You do have to Love the product and believe in the product.

This I believe is a very valid question. Over a year ago I found myself at risk of losing everything if I didn't get a job. We moved to the area that we live in now so that I could be a stay-at-home mom. Well that was not going to work for long. I searched several leads and websites and talked with many of them. I will not post who these companies are out of respect but there were a lot! Most of them were outrageous in price for a kit and monthly dues and so on. Then you couldn't even guarantee that you could sell what ever you bought into. I lost some money but in the long run I have made out. I do honestly believe there is something out there that fits a persons personality. I can say that I could not sell, so onand so forth because I don't believe in it. You have to believe in what you are doing!
I would follow what you would like to do. There are many companies that offer low cost start up kits and you have fun selling these items or networking. I did try the stay at home moms website and got all kinds of stuff there!
I own my own business now and have Ladies under me and it is wonderful. The business that I am in allows me to stay at home with my daughter who is 2 and I work while she is napping and I leave to do things when her dad is here!
I know that you can find what you are looking for you just have to search for a while. I found my business by accident and boy am I glad. I have an absolute blast going to women's houses and having a party!
