I would suggest that you think about what your business is offering, what type of clientele you want to attract and then think about your mission statement. Your logo is something that you want people to see and immediately identify with your business. A logo sticks with you throughout the life of your business, probably longer than staff lol Think about it seriously, play around with a few ideas, maybe some that include initials of the company name.
Good luck with your business, I hope it all works out for you

Why don't you search existing logo sites to get ideas?
Here are some to try -
Logo Search - http://www.logo-search.com
LogoMaid - http://www.logomaid.com
Web Design Elements - http://www.webdesign-elements.com
Here is a good summary of What to Look for in a Logo - http://www.developer-resource.com/what-to-look-for-in-logo.htm
This is a more in depth article -

Do not spend a fortune on
so-called "consultants", "designers", etc. They will charge you a fortune. Do it yourself on a computer, freewebsites, etc or on paper even. Keep it secret until it goes onto your business stationery, etc because if it's a "catchy" logo others might nick it. Then get it registered with the IPO in Cardiff so somebody doesn't copy it. Only when you've got it logged with the IPO should you then go public and use it as an official logo. The IPO will run a check (prior to registration) to see if your design already exists so you will not be able to have it if it does and you will have to design another one |

Let Me Do It.....I have been a graphic designer for years and rapidly approaching an opening date for my design and production company. If you just want a logo I can do it for a small fee or maybe for free. Depends on what exactly you want!! Let me know! Logo design is fun! |

You could find a friendly artist to design one with you. They will charge for their services but you will end up with a unique piece of artwork that reflects your business.
You could create one yourself, use a camera and photo-shop to make something look good. Try and keep it simple and distinctive as well as eye catching and memorable. Not to too much of a task.... |

I'll suggest you to buy a logo instead of creating one by buying a software. All the best with your business :-) |
