Use the power of the internet - - websites are relatively cheap to design/establish. All you need is a product to sell. It's been my experience that selling a product you personally enjoy is the one to begin with.
Surf the internet and study what other businesses are selling and how they go about doing it on their websites.

Every business sells "something". If it is not a material item, then they are selling a service. So you are stuck. However, Mary Kay (mostly women, but there have been some succesful men) is a legitimate business. I was very skeptical when I started. Actually, I signed up to get it at wholesale, and wasn't going to sell it at all, but when people found out I was doing that, they wer glad to buy it from me and pay full price for it.
It is not a pyramid, because everyone starts out at the same place, and only those who go to work move up. You can not buy a higher position. Like any other career, you have to earn the promotion.
My startup cost was $114.95. That was it. They suggest buying inventory, but that is an option. I didn't buy any. However, I reinvested every penny I took in until I was able to to have all the inventory I needed, then I began to earn an income from it. However, if you only want to take orders and deliver, you can do that......not suggested though.
