I want to start a business from home, does not necesscarily have to be on the computer. I know i don't want to have a store front business. The area i live in has about 40-50 thousand people in it between two towns about 15 miles apart. I will have about $12000 to start with even though i would like to keep the start up a lot less if possible. I really have no interests that i'm passionate enough that i think will do any good. |

First, believe in yourself. I bet the idea's that you have are great idea's you just need to develop them. Get a note book and write them down and improve on them as you see other things and/or as other idea's come to you. An awesome program to watch now is on Sunday nights called "The Business of Innovation". You can also go on CNBC-The Business of Innovation.com It highlights people that had little idea's that grew into great idea's and how they did it.
Second you need to think network marketing.......I know that WAS a bad name in the past but hear me out. Those 40 - 50 thousand people shop right (they buy stuff)? What if you can show them how to get paid to shop for the stuff they are already buying? The internet levels the playing field and links manufactures directly to consumers. Consumers can now get those products that they already buy sent directly to their home and get paid for doing it. Why? Because these big bulk stores cost money and a lot of it. They would rather ship what you need from the warehouse and close the store because that is overhead to them. In 5 - 10 years that's where distribution will be. The only question left is will you be getting paid to help the market get there? And are you going to take advantage of this trend?
Now if this can be wrapped up in a business system where there is no guess work and you get a mentor that personally and phycally helps you succeed would it be worth it? Of course.

I don't mean to be blunt but passion is more important to a business' success than money, potential market, or experience. It's not wise to have a business just to have a business and you'll be better off investing your $12,000 into someone else's business where he or she has the passion for the product or service they entertain. You might be better off as a partner than an entrepreneur. There's nothing wrong with that. Why take a risk of losing your $12K in something you are so-so about if you could get continuing return on investments??? |
