You got that right~ Paid survey's you get pennies for many hours doing their little surveys. It was not what everyone "claims" it to be.
I think the best way to work out of your home, in my opinion based on experience is to start your own home based business. There are many different options you have in many different industries. First thing to know, is that no matter what home business you choose, you will get out of it exactly what you put into it. It takes work, dedication, and setting aside time to work your business at home without distractions in order to make it successful.
I personally sell Tupperware and Longaberger and do quite well with these. On occasion, I do work outside the home, but most of my work is done from my home computer and phone.
If you decide to go into Direct Sales, you should pick a company you believe in and like their products. There is nothing harder than to sell something you don't believe in. I love what I sell, and I have been a leader and have taught many other people how to be successful in this type of business.
The reason I chose these two businesses is:
1. I like to save money on the food bill and Tupperware allows me to do that and teach others how to do the same.
2. I am also environmentally conscious, and I use the Longaberger baskets over and over, rather than using disposable bags and such. The baskets are high quality, will last for years, and can be repaired if broken. Several baskets have been handed down from one generation to the next. I like that.
3. You can start either business with an investment of under $100. You can also choose other levels if you want, and some allow you to purchase a kit and pay for it over 6 months.
My current vehicle was paid in full with my Tupperware bonuses. You can't get better than that!

I don't know how much money you are interested in making but the only way to start a home business for very little or no money is to create your own business.
Social networking sites like YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, etc. etc. were all started with no money. Which illustrates the importance of fresh new updated content. At this point you may not understand just how important fresh updated content is but you will soon.
If you want to make a living online without creating your own business you will need to come up with some start up capital and join an opportunity with a great compensation plan and master it.
