Yes. There are still legitimate work from home program. However, there are a lot of scam around and it is difficult to differentiate which are the one.
Be aware of jobs that request information or personal details. A legitimate job should pay you for what you are worth - in terms of your experience and contribution - instead of expecting you to pay upfront for the career opportunity.
You could get to elance.com. What this website done is that people will post projects (e.g. some people may need someone to write articles, or setup website, etc for them) and you need to bid to get the job.

The true answer is: that's ENTIRELY up to you. It will work if YOU WORK IT. There's no one to pay you for sleeping in until you have a team (regardless of your business) or unless you make royalties, or some kind of passive income from an invention, book, etc.
What I do NOW (it's easy and I enjoy it)
I supply leads for other real estate investors and became one myself. I make from $250 on up (there's really no limit) for deals I do. I am well-versed in real estate and keep up my education on it so as to take advantage of as many of these opportunities as possible.
Why a HBB?
To convert your expenses (auto, entertainment, etc) to business expenses and stop paying taxes on the income you make to cover expenses (like auto, entertainment, etc.). Otherwise, you end up paying more than you need to in taxes (and who thinks that's a good idea?)
Myth debunked
Rentals should have property managers, so no calls to fix toilets at 3 a.m. It's worth the expense and then creates a completely passive income stream on a hugely valuable appreciating asset worth generally 5-10 times your measly down payment.

A home based business doesnt have to be one of these get rich quick scams, or survey junk. A home based business can be lots of different things, and yes, they DO work, when someone is willing to put in the work.
My husband and I have made our living out of the room Im sitting in right now for the past 7 years. No, we arent rich. Yes, we work our butts off. Is it worth it? To us, definitely it is worth it! We might work longer hours, but we do it together, in the comfort of our home. We can break when we need to, and we choose who we do business with. There are a lot of advantages, and some disadvantages too, but it is VERY possible to be self-employed and successful. |

Home based businesses can be a GREAT thing. I work a WONDERFUL candle business. I have tried other home-based businesses and not had success. I found success with this particular business because I am passionate about my product. Make no mistake that home-based businesses take work - more in the beginning than later down the line - but they do take work. Many people have the misconception that this type of business allows them to just sit back and have the money roll in. It doesn't work that way. I have been in my business for about a year now. I'm comfortable, but still strive (and work) for more. In my business I have lots of options - retail, fundraisers, home parties, and sponsoring individuals. I can do any and/or all of those things creating multiple streams of income.
When you are looking for a home based business, there are several things you need to be aware of, and look for. You want to make sure that you will receive training. There are many companies out there that will just "toss you to the wolves" and you'll never get any training at all, so be aware of this. You also need to find a product that you are passionate about. If you are passionate about your product(s) you're feelings will show through without you even trying. And probably the absolute most important thing you need to remember is that when you are doing a business of this nature, you really aren't selling your products, but instead you're selling "you". Most people don't care about products, but they buy because of "you" (but don't mistake this statement to mean "be a pushy salesperson" because that generally is the worst thing you can do).

Yes, they definitely work! Make sure you don't join a company that has been around forever... though, it seems like that would be the way to go, because they are still around... The money is made by people joining in the 2nd - 5th year of the company! I have been with one in particular for 1 year and doing well... time invested,but not the forty hours that a normal job would have. and the end results will make me financially independent.... About 4 mos ago, I joined yet another young company, but in a different category.. One in health/wellness, and the other travel... Both are booming and I get to enjoy being my own boss, doing things in MY time, and having the things that I couldn't afford before... I get to travel, and have many tax deductions...
