Nope..all you need is the cosmotology license. I wouldn't waste my time or money on the bachelor's degree because really it isn't going to help you. I would however shadow someone who owns a business like you wish to open to see how they run thiers. |

Bill Gates did not finish college. Steve Jobs is a drop out. College degree is NOT a prerequisite. Common sense (lots of it), tenacity and intestinal fortitude are what's needed to succeed as an entrepreneur. |

Hell, you don't even need to have brains to open your own business. A degree can never hurt someone, but you do not need a BA to open a business. All your business will need is simple bookkeeping, not bookkeeping theory. It would be far more advantageous to be the BEST hair dresser in the business than to know a good set of books when you see them. Concentrate on what is important to you. |

No! Just a good analysis of the market and whether the business is going to be viable. A degree may help you to do this but u want to look at a course that helps you build the skills need to become the entrepreneur that you want to be! |

no degree needed! get a job with a Solon you like and watch and learn. study your trade and get a rep for being good. cultivate your clientele and see what you can do to bring them with you when you make the plunge into your own shop.
i saw this done by my hair cutter, great guy and did good work. he sent out notices to his established customers when he opened his own shop and he has been going strong for 10 years or more.

To open a business you just need money - to make it successful you need knowledge and know-how, among other things. How you get that, whether through school or other means, is up to you. |

A degree in Business would be helpful when running a business, but it is NOT necessary. I think you would require education in cosmotology to run your business, just to know what you are doing. You will need a business license, which is basically a record of your business. Your customers would probably like to see that you have some education in cosmotology and would like to see you be part of associations that monitor your business. |
