E-Bay Feedback question?
If you go in right when the auction ends and do your paypal thing and send them a note.....shouldn't they go right in and give you good feedback?

I am trying to build up my feedbck before I sell and I have won 4 auctions, paid and still have no feedback...???

Many sellers do not value or honour the system exactly as you do.

That is because many buyers do not submit payment as quickly as you have done, and also because the seller may have encountered people who simplt like to find fault/complain, and will choose even the silliest reason to do so.....and then add a negative to the seller's feedback file, which hurts their reputation in the e-bay marketplace.

One would guess that such people take an extra delight in offering negative feedback after the seller has given them a positive one. Sad this may be, but it is reality.

The seller's learned/acquired response often is to wait for the buyer to ask questions, or discuss problems, before feedback is mentioned, and once the buyer is satisfied, and has posted feedback, the seller will do so as well.

It is just a bit of insurance on their part

The bonus for you is that you are doing everything right, so you can expect sellers to respond positively, even if you do have to wait until you receive the goods, and complete your part of the feedback process.

E bay is not a bad place. I have been burned twice in about 200 transactions. Once was a bad seller, who gave positive feedback, but never shipped the item. The other gave me the only negative on my record, when he claimed he never received the cash payment, and even refused settlement with square trade on an offered second payment.

As you can see, there are some good sellers and poor buyers, but there are also poor sellers and those who, like you, are good buyers.

The overall reality is that feedback gives you a fair indication of who you are dealing with, and, if you are patient, your own record will rise positively.

Be patient, and stick with it.

A lot of sellers are wary of leaving fb until they see what you, as the buyer are going to do to their reps. Leave fb for everyone that you've made purchases from, then send a polite note requesting fb from them. It might work and it might not. But a person's got to try.

Before you try to win auctions just for the purpose of building your feedback, check out the seller. If someone is just registered on ebay so they can sell one item, they probably don't care about feedback, so pick the ones that are doing or have done lots of auctions.

You can also check out the winners' feedback from the seller's previous auctions to see if the seller left feedback.

it's polite to give feedback but most don't until it is complete, after the money has changed hands and you have received your item and given them feedback

Twin momma as of 11/11
There are some sellers who do feedback at a certain time of the week due to lots of sales- these are usually bigger businesses. If you chose an individual seller, they may not leave you feedback at all. It is by choice, not a requirement.

No, usually most sellers will wait for your to receive the item and leave them feedback; in case there is a problem. Then the prodblem can be resolved without the possibility of people destroying other people's feedback with negative comments.

Send a message to each person and ask them to please post feedback for you. Remind them that you gave them positive feedback.

Drop them an email. Some of these sellers are extremely busy.Whil I know that doesn't excuse them but it could be simple.I will not leave feedback for a seller until I recieve it.The vast majority of people using Ebay are wonderful hard working trying to make some extra money,They will not go out of their way to bu rude.(thats uncourse you've bee rude to tem first'.)

Honestly I always forget to leave feedback and only remember to do so when clickin around and realize that I'm backed up on feedbacks.

Ebay does not send out feedback reminders ... if you need some feed back then e-mail the buyers and sellers that you dealt with and remind them to leave you feed back.

Many sellers will wait until you leave them feedback.
