Let it go the full duration of the auction. If you have 15 watchers, the bidding is going to be heavy the last few hours. I agree the bids will go higher than $50 and that is what this bidder is trying to prevent. Don't do it. |

Fifty bucks for a jersey is cheap (especially with free shipping). I would wait it out. You never know how much you can make. With 15 watchers your sure to get more bids. The bids will increase when there is an hour or two left, most people like to wait. Good Luck! |

I would tell them to "feel free to bid that on the auction", then "good luck". I find that my auctions do nothing til the last day or two, regardless of how many days listed, and 15 watchers is a lot of people. Do you have a reserve price on your auction? If you do, and it doesn't sell, tell the person you will be glad to relist it as a BIN at that time. I don't think it would be fair to the other bidders if you ended the auction early to let one person BIN ... and you never know ... you might actually get more than $50. |

Leave the auction as it is. The time to set up a "buy it now" is while you're writing up the auction, not after it's gone up for bidding. Never let someone like that dictate how you run your auction. If he wants it he can bid like everyone else. |

I don't think it's a scam, he just wants to get the jersey cheap. He probably knows the value of the jersey and he wants to buy below the average price. I say let the auction stay and wait out the 4 days. |

This has happened to me and the item sold for more than they offered. They usually know what something goes for and they are trying to get it for a lower price. I'd wait for the auction to run it's course. |

If that person wants it for $50 tell them to bid $50; do not repost because it will cost you money & like you said it could go for much more! |

Follow your gut. If you feel like it's a scam it very well might be. Next time if you are wanting to recoup your costs I would suggest setting a reserve or starting bid. If the man wants it that badly he will bid on it up to 50 at least. |

did you set a certain restriction on how much you want the jersey to sell? for example if you make it up to 150, it wont sell for less. i tried this and ive sold items for more than i expected. |

As an ebay pro, I would definitely let it be bid as high as possible. It could very well go over $50, but also couldn't. you just have to take your luck. |

Keep the auction going! You've got a lot of interest and a lot of time left. Bet you get a winning bid of more than $50. |

1. dude, all the action on eBay goes up as the bid deadline approaches. Most of the action happens on the last day, and most of THAT action happens in the last hour, and most of THAT action happens in the last 10 minutes. You have a good number of watchers who will be checking in during the last hour or so to see if it's still worth it. Most serious bidders just wait until literally the last minute to bid.
2. have you checked on winning bids on comparable jerseys? that will give you a pretty good idea of the final bid, unless the guy that autographed it gets really famous/infamous in the next couple days. Driving white Ford Bronco's down the LA freeway will do wonders for one's popularity, then again...
3. Just relax and let the bidders do all the work!

Once you have a bidder you can no longer offer it as Buy Now. |
