tell the guy you'll give him the buy it now price when there's 2 days left IF the bids are not over $30 at that time. don't do it now. |

I would leave it alone until the second to the last day if the bid hasnt gotten any closer to how much you are asking for and the girl is still interested then sell it to her for that price because thats all you will get |

Give it some time.... |

wait, especially if there are people watching it. Squatters will wait until the LAST few seconds of an auction to place their bid. I've seen auctions go from a few hundred, to a few THOUSAND dollars in the last 12 seconds. Pretty intense stuff. |

I'd wait. You will probably get more. You can also bid up the price yourself. Not ethical, but you can do it. Have your buddy bid on it. Kinda a bidding war. |

you should've put that thing where you start the bidding at 4.99, but won't sell it until the bids reach a certain amount. People do that a lot with instruments or valuables because everyone wants to pay as little as possible for it. If it's worth 160 i say post the "buy it now" at least 100, if you think no one will bid more than 5 bucks, then i guess put it for 30, but this guy obviously wants it and it seems like you're getting a lot less than it's worth... |

no way... i would only set a buy it now price if nobody else was looking at it. usually within the last few hours of the auction is when you'll see the good bidding. look at some other auctions and you'll get the idea. sort them by time ending soonest and scroll down. |

Don't set a buy it now. The watchers are watching the item until the last few days so they don't just keep bidding up the price of it until the end. Just wait out the auction with no buy it now set. |

Do not sell it, this guy is taking you for a ride. I know its exciting selling things on ebay as I started not that long ago, but my advice is let the auction take its toll. I guarantee it will go for a lot more than 30. Dont let him dick you out of money!! |

Wait - people will bid closer to the end of the auction. You may wind up with a bidding war and the price will go up. The buyer who asked you for the "buy it now" knows that $30 would be a steal. You probably should have started the bidding higher (and you can still change that since it is still early). Good luck! |

Um u wrote 97% of the original price. soory but wudnt it be 3% of the original price.

That depends on the value of the piece and what you think is a reasonable value. Odds are, if he wants to set a price now, 30 is low. |

Depending on the value of the item, it will vary. Did you by chance go a check out what other were selling it for, if other items are on there like it. Then I would price by that. But you can pull an item and sell it for buy it now. Only thing is you will have to pull the item and list it as not available anymore. You will not be penalized for it. But make sure that the other person is able to pay and use pay pal. Good luck! |

How much do you feel the jersey is worth? How much do you expect to gain from its sale? What price are you willing to accept? You could have set a reserve price, so bidding would continue until your reserve was met. If not you would keep the jersey. I would suggest that you let it ride longer. Im not sure you can add a buy it now option once the auction is set. That may violate the agreement. |

I would wait 30 is low for a jersey but up to you. |

Unless things have changed here lately, you can't add a "buy it now" to an auction after is has received a bid. And if you start with a "buy it now", it will disappear after you receive your first bid.
If you don't have any bids, you can remove a "buy it now", but you can't add one.
This page shows what changes you can make and when:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/questions/revise-item.html
Click on the Auction-Type style link.
So asking you to do that is kind of pointless. And like everyone else said, he's trying to snowball you and trying to get it for much less than he thinks the final will be.
Good luck with your auction,

Hold out for more! Usually the biggest bids come in at the final hour. |
