I know I am not waiting for a cheque as I have stated I only accept paypal.
Although it was only yesterday, they buyer has 52 positive feed back all saying 'Great Ebayer' etc.
I wouldn't be bothered but my item won for £300 and I really need some extra cash this time of year.
Is it too soon to email them? If not, What should I say without sounding rude?
It's my first time selling anything so I don't really have a clue!

It's nice to get your money as soon as poss, but not everyone is at their computer all day, every day.
As you've already sent an invoice maybe send a reminder in a few days.
You can't start an 'unpaid item dispute' for 7 days anyway, so you might as well give your buyer the benefit of the doubt until then.
If they don't pay after 7 days, you can start the unpaid item process - info on that here

As a side issue, for an item of that value please make sure that you send it by Special Delivery.
This is for your own protection, because if the buyer should say that they don't receive the item and start their own dispute through PayPal you will lose (and they'll be awarded a full refund from you) unless you can provide PayPal with the online tracking details that Special Delivery gives. |

They have a week to pay before you can chase them reasonably. Be patient - not everyone sits down to their computer every day!
EDIT : She may not have been online when she won it!! She could have put in a proxy bid days ago and not even have realised she won it yet! |

I don't think you should worry about payment until day 3 or 4, some people don't have regular access to a computer or sometimes they forget that they have bid on something or haven't expected to win. You could send them a friendly message saying 'Congratulations you have won ................ I will dispatch as soon as your payment clears. many Thanks'. Its always best to be friendly, |

I have the same problem as i sold something last week and STILL waiting for a payment, and the buyer has threatened to report me to ebay!?, but the problem is his, as He put in the wrong address for payment to go into account.
I'll be reporting him TODAY!! for f*** around (",).....
I think you should wait another 24 hrs, then start emailing the buyer as to when they are going to pay for the item won!! You can also use the 'live help' to get answers of what you can do!!

have you e-mailed them the ebay invoice? if not, do that and out a little message on i.e. how would you like to pay? is paypal your only payment option? if its not, maybe the payment is in the post?
if you haven't heard anything by 1pm tomorrow, send them an e-mail asking when they are planning on paying, if you don't get a response in a day or so, report them as a non-paying bidder, and relist. |

Give the client a day or two to pay. I sell on ebay heavily. Buyers usually pay in 3 to 5 day (unfortunately). Make sure you sent the invoice and you can send them a reminder. |

I usually send the invoice, wait 3-4 days and then, if I haven't heard anything, follow it up with a friendly e-mail. Something along the lines of "Hi, thanks for your purchase. I sent your invoice a few days ago but I haven't heard anything from you yet." I then usually add a bit of a lie, something like "I'll be away for a few days next week so I'd really like to get your item in the post by the weekend, so if you could let me know when you can pay, I'd be really grateful".
