I currently sell things on eBay. Its not enough to make a living off, but i use it for spare money and it seems to pull quite a bit. If you put the time into it, it is easy to make a large profit off eBay. Its important to specialise in one area so that way you can learn your markets, and find out what sells and what doesn't. I specialise in selling DVDs and spend a lot of my time searching for good value bargins that i can re-sell.Don't invest all your money at once - start small and expand as you learn new things.
I find DVDs/ Video games are the best items to sell as you can research products and prices from your computer and then transfer you finding straight to eBay to sell the items. If you choose to buy your items online from the right suppliers they will give you free shipping to your door. Remember that you need to pay alot of eBay fee's and other expenses so make sure you are actually making profit.
To succeed at eBay you need a good rating and alot of time and Patience. If you start selling on a large scale you will spend most of your time putting postage stamps on envelopes.
After you become popular you can start you our website and selling DVDs without all the added expenses of eBay, but you must develop your customer base first.
Is it possible to make a good living off eBay - Yes. But it is not easy. |

Yes, you can make a living on ebay. A very good one at that if you are smart, motivated and adapt to new situations easily.
I'm making about $8000/month on it right now (give or take). No, I can't tell you what I'm doing. It took me a year to get to this point. I don't need the extra competition. Nobody is going to give you good information, regardless of whether you pay for it or not, on how to make you money. You have to carve out your own niche and learn from your mistakes. Goodness, I have made a ton of mistakes along the way. I have a closet full of stuff I bought by mistake thinking I could make a profit on it.
By the way, don't waste your time and money on ebay gurus and definitevely stay away from dropshippers. |

Possibly. You would need loads of valuable items to sell though. You would have to keep a very good and large stock of valuables, possibly going to search for goods almost everyday at garage sales and other places. It would be very difficult but could happen. |

Yes, you can earn a good living selling on eBay. Good things to sell include clothing, both gently used and new, used sports equipment, gently used high end cookware such as Calpahlon, the list goes on.

It depends on what you're interested in, as for the source dropshipping is a good way to sell because you don't actually buy the product until someone buys from you. You could also try selling books, records, clothes, art etc. If you're thinking of heavier items you'll have to arrange pick up or delivery.

what bob said. That is exactly what I do and you can to. Even if you sell on eBay this is a great way to save on listing fees and make money of your competitors. Here is a blog that will explain what you need to do. You can start without any investment, but it is better to invest because it will take time to build sites and promote them so you want to get paid 100% of profit right? :)

Always research items you're thinking about buying for resale, for their current market value. Just because the person you're buying from says it's worth a certain amount, doesn't mean you'll really get it.
Been doing ebay a bit myself, made a profit from the 1st lot of items I bought from there. Just watch you're ebay, and shipping fees to make sure you don't short change yourself. |
