It looks like a scam to me... Even if they pay you through paypal, if they're E-Cheque bounces or is their credit card is fraudulant, Paypal will debit the money from your account and your PS3 will be already shipped....It happened to a friend of mine with his laptop. He ended up loosing 800$. The buyer was overseas though. Do you know where this buyer is from? That is the way scammers usually work...They give you a great offer and a good reason to justify it. I don't think you should risk it. Good luck |

It does sound extremely suspicious. They will probably do some kind of switch in payment method at the last minute or some other shady action. It also seems strange this person is in so much of a hurry. Red flags are up all over the place. You could play along with it and the minute the guy veers off course jettison the deal.
The second offer is basically the same idea as the first. Might be scammers working in tandem. You might want to contact paypal about this. I doubt if you are the first one who has received these sort of things. |

I looked up a quick price on ps3. It's a news report from 2007 about the price being dropped to $500.00. Why would anyone offer to pay nearly double the new price for a used unit?
It could be legit--I don't know how hard it is to get a ps3 outside of the US. Personally, I'd contact eBay and get their answer. |

Technically - this would turn into a transaction outside of Ebay - ebay warns against these types of transactions. They are not guaranteed and they are not secure. 950 for a 345 item is suspicious.
To help this person out and keep the transaction safe and secure for yourself - put a Buy Now offer on it. You currently have no bids - so it would fine for you to edit it. The person, if they are for real, can then buy it immediately with Paypal. Other than that - I would not go through with it. |

That is a scam. Wait until the end of your auction - you've listed your item to start at $345 - good price.
Playstations are in stock just about everywhere right now so the offer of $950 is unreasonable and a scam. If you have that providers email address - I would report them to Ebay immediately.
I'm not kidding - your instinct is correct that this is very suspicious. |

PayPal is 100% safe. Do not be afraid. I try to buy most my electronics off e-bay. Even clothing! I bought an item a few weeks ago, I waited for it to arrive, didn't come for about a good 3weeks. I contacted PayPal, and got my FULL refund back.
(The seller did not respond to any of my e-mails as well) |
