Ebay shipping question for all you sellers:?
I am selling new snowboarding equipment as a lot. This includes pants, jacket, goggles, boots, bindings, helmet and the board. If I ship to US only - what do you feel is a fair price for shipping? Is $150 too much for the lot? I can't make it to the post office to weigh it before I have to post it. Any suggestions?
Additional Details
PS the board is huge and the boots, bindings and jacket are all very heavy.

Put everything into a box. Pack it just as you will be sending it and then to estimate the weight, first weigh yourself and then weigh yourself holding the box. (Weight will be B - A) If it's more than 10 lbs you are going to be better off shipping by UPS or DHL. They have websites you can go to and calculate shipping based on weight and dimensions of the box.
When you list it on eBay you can use a shipping calculator that will give your bidders their shipping cost based on the weight you enter and your location when they enter their location.
$150 sounds like too much to me, but it all depends on how much it all weighs and the size of the box.
Check my website for eBay selling help:

I also have links for help with shipping and packing.
Good luck. Send me an email if I can be of any further assistance!

I would weigh the items to the best of your estimation. A good way to do that is to weigh yourself on your house scales them hold each item, minus your weight, which will give you the weight of the item. Add up the totals for each item/

Once you have a pretty good idea as to the total weight, visit www.USPS.com or UPS.com to see your shipping options and cost. It won't be exact, but you will be able to get a good ballpark figure.

Go to www.ups.com enter the size of box and estimated weight

Under shipping you can state contact seller for details. This will give you time to weigh and calculate shipping cost.

When you are putting your items for sale,in shipping section there is a calculator which will help you with your shipping price. It will ask you how big and heavy approximately your item is and which service you want to use and it will give the price.
That's the best way to do it.
Good Luck!!!

YOU must have it weighed. You will have to know what the weight is.. It will cost more if you have to ship overseas or Canada or Mexico. Considerably more depending on where.. I really thing that $150.00 is way excessive and could get you in trouble with Ebay for gouging. You must make the effort required to finish the sale..

God bless & hugs from Texas. {:-)

You can weigh it on a bathroom scale if you have one.Than look up the postal rates up on line.It will tell you how much it will be. Just say it weighs 20 pounds.Than you would have to put a zip code in and yours they will tell you how much it will be to ship either way first class mail or priority mail which is more money. It's alot easier than taking it to the post office.Hope it helps.

don't post shipping price until you go to the post office. If someone asks tell them that you have to check it out first.

Best thing is to pack it all into the box you intend to send it in and then guesstimate the weight, or weigh yourself on your bathroom scales with and without the box to discover the weight of the parcel. Also the dimensions of the box may come into play here. Then go onto the USPS site and then you should have an amount to quote to ppl which will be very close to what it actually costs.

If you have a scale at home, try putting the items on there or hold them and get a calculation from usps.com. That's sound's like a lot for shipment, but I could be wrong.

i would put it on your bath room scale just to get an
