pickles | Forever Living Products? (FLP) - Aloe Vera products, direct sell through agents. Have you heard of them? |
What do you think of FLP? Do you know anyone who works for them? Looks like a pyramid, but it is apparently MLM. Looks like people try to get their friends/family involved and try to get them selling, so that they can profit from that. Nice products, but very expensive. And no research backing up the efficacy of the products? Someone's making a lot of money at the top, through selling the products to 'independent distributors' at inflated prices. Something feels dodgy about it. Can't put a finger on it.
Any experiences? Any information would be very interesting to read. Thank you. |

I have heard of them, and their products have a good reputation, i have used the aloe gel for back pain and it is really efective.
More popular in the US than the UK i think but i know one person who works for them. (Which is how i got my gel.) |

Forever Living Products is indeed a Multi Level Marketing company. Its not a pyramid. There is no joining fee, no annual fee, no compulsion to buy products. If you like any product, you buy it, use it and recommend other people to buy. This brings about a business by personal testimony alone. Its like you telling a friend about a good movie, and your friend watches that movie. What did you gain? Nothing! But multi level marketing is being fair. It pays you for recommendations and the recommendations of your friends and family. The price of a bottle of cola increase ten-fold when it reaches the market. Why? Because YOU PAY for the advertisements, not the product which incidentally is 10 cents. (here you pay for a product which has known to be detrimental to your health) When it comes to the FLP products being expensive, you answered your question yourself when you said the products are NICE. In fact, they are great and effective. |

Ive bought some products from this company. Ive bought an aloe vera shampoo, aloe vera deodrant and the aloe vera drink. The shampoo and deodrant are really good and they are natural products so dont harm you. The drink tastes yuck but this is to be expected because it's natural.
Youre right the products are expensive but ive found a lot of them on ebay for half the price, so search for them through there. I would give the products a go, they are worth it. |

I can not see the difference between Pyramid and MLM (Multi Level Marketing)
I and sure a good salesman could convince there is a huge difference.
If a family member was selling Yes I would get involved to help them out
But please for your sake walk away from this |

YES- I have used the products for over 20 years. I was working in a Health retreat my wife had arthritis at 26yrs old - had both knees operated on and now they they were going to remove her knee caps FLP Heat lotion and the drinking Juice worked for her and also my migraine headaches - As for expensive - so is a good car. FLP products have had a 100% guarantee if not satisfied - If they did not work it would not be a 29 year old 2 Billion per year company.
Prices are not inflated - You get paid for advertising, training and marketing. If they were on your local store shelf they would probably be more after all the middle men and the shop keeper got their percentage.
As for the research - just Google it - Aloe has had years of research - FLP produces over 85% of the worlds Aloe and is now in over 120 countries - With no pressure as in most countries it is FREE to Join
I had 2 business stores before - Now I only market FLP from my home - It's Fantastic. - Any more ? - drop me a line...... |

It has been mentioned before, but pyramids are illegal. Pyramid schemes normally don't bother much about products and charge a large recruitment fee. The whole scheme is about recruiting more people and not selling products. These products come with a 60 day money-back guarantee, do you really think the company could survive if everyone returned their products?
It's definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme, it takes time and hard work to make an MLM business succeed, but the ultimate rewards can be outstanding. You can end up with a team distributed in many countries around the world, effectively making your business work 24 hours a day.

I am a distributor for this company and I can assure you that it is down to the individual on what they want from life.. by this I mean if you want the big bucks then you have to work for it but then again on the flip side if you want to earn an extra couple of pounds a month/year then you can..Its down to you.
This company is fantastic. The people you meet along the way are truly amazing. I am one of the people who are retailing products whilst still holding down my full time job. I would Never slate anyone from this company or the company itself. I can honestly say once you become an FLP distributor you are always another family member. The love and respect that I have for the people who devote their time to help built and make other peoples dreams come true are second to none. |

Don't join an MLM scheme. Start your own business, buy the aloe vera etc. from your local cash and carry and hawk that from door to door if that's what you want to do. |

If it was a pyramid, it would be illegal. Plain and simple. It makes me laugh that people say 'only the people at the top get paid the most.' Not entirely true: you are on a higher percentage than the person who brought you in. I am in Kleeneze and all my mates who were 'looking out for me' were wrong as I have now been able to leave my dead end factory job.
PS You only make money when you TEACH other people to make alot of money. Contact me if you wish |

The product is good, the concept is good and the they are well established. It is up to you to sell to your family and friends. That is the business model. Remember 80% of sales are to people you know and that means you have to be prepared to sell to the same. If you feel uncomfortable about it then try different work |

This without doubt however you dress it up is a pyramid scheme. Yes there is a product that helps disguise or draw your attention away but ultimately multi level marketing is what is says on the tin.
I recently went to a meeting that a group of so called friends were running, a fantastic talk with big numbers to be earned. All sounded to amazing to be true. This was followed by at the end a request for me to give £200 to sign up for a few products and become part of the company. My major problem throughout the whole experience was seeing how I was going to generate the sales to produce the numbers they were talking about. Websites have been done and my mum only has so many friends!!!
My friend assured me I didn't have to worry about the sales part as I would be a manager recruiting other managers or sales people at £200. Part of this money going to me, part of the money going to my friend that signed me up and the rest to the company at the top of the pyramid. Throughout the meeting the aloe vera product is talked about and hyped up but only at the end is it clear there is no actual real interest in the selling of it. It's easy to forget this as you're excited about the possibilities but stay focused on the truth and it's all about signing up more so called managers. A PYRAMID SCHEME!
You have to ask your self are you happy selling a sign up fee to friends and family that may never make that money back.
Ultimately the people at the bottom will lose out and £50 let alone £200 is a lot of money to many. Without doubt the people I met at the meeting will do very well but then they'd be happy to sell £200 sign ups to their 90 year old grandmothers. I saw them bamboozle student friends with the promise for £200 they would make huge sums. These students who are already in a major amount of debt handed over the money in the hope of adding some much needed revenue. Who are these students going to sell to? Other poor students!
It just doesn't sit right with me at all. In the end if your happy to sell your soul for money and not worry about how the next friend or family member will make it back, then this is the get rich scheme for you.

I can see that a lot of the contributors to this topic can't tell the difference between a pyramid and an MLM. MLM/Network marketing is a marketing strategy taught in many universities today and gaining more and more popularity. Robert Kysaki, Donald Trump and Warren Buffet have supports them and can tell you that MLM has created more successful people than traditional business method. I have done FLP though didn't stay long enough to make much money but can tell you it's not a pyramid scheme. Just like any business, if you don't put in good work ethic, then you are not like to succeed. It's long term and not a "get rich quick" business. My only concern with FLP is that the products are expensive and you are required to acquire a certain minimum volume to remain in the business and make money. If it were an illegal pyramid scheme, do you not think the government would have clamped down on them? So all you negative broke guys who out of ignorance castigate a well designed government approved scheme, my advise to you all is... "get over it". |
