It is like Quickstar and Amway of financial service. Their only selling point that they are owned by Citibank but it nothing but a pyramid scheme. I went to one "seminar" and was swamped by "sharks".

In order to make money you must get a license in your state. If you are selling life insurance then you need a life insurance license for example.
Because Primerica sells via multilevel marketing it has both a good and bad reputation depending on whom you ask.
Decide for yourself if you like and believe in the products and would be comfortable recommending them to a friend. If so, then ask yourself if you like sales and feel you can work hard to make it happen. If you work hard for a few years you could make more than the average person and have a great residual income. It's not easy, but it can be done and has great rewards. |

wast of time, don't bother. my brother did it and wasted a ton of time - for the first year or something like that, you make appointments and theperson who "recruited" you gets commission off it...it's like a pyramid scheme. |

One of our employees did it and got another employee involved. From what I remember it was about insurance and the thing was to recruit people to become agents and sell to their friends. Once the friends dried up, it became hard to keep going. They have both stopped since.
If you want to sell insurance, become an insurance agent. |

I heard one of my uncles and my dad both said stay away from that company. A good way to find out about companies is to look them up on the Better Business Bureau. Your state attorney general and the FTC can also give you information.
Have you done searches for complaints on the company?

in canada primerica is a respected business to buy financial investments through, however I still souldn't work for them, I don't like working evening/weekends, which is when most working people are free to discuss their finances |

Don't waste your time. It's another MLM, but you have to get licensed to participate.
If you're a natural at sales, find a reputable company to sell for and you'll do well.
If you're not a salesperson, you'll fail at Primerica.
It's a lose-lose situation. |

The company does not have a good reputation.
The "representative" that contacted me said he had gotten my info from a state employment agency and was looking for office managers for a local business. He lied to get me to come in by telling me he wanted to hire me to run an office.
You make the majority of your money selling "memberships" or liscenses to other sellers and depend on them to do the work.
Like Amway, Shakley and other "pyramids" it requires you to sell to your friends and then they sell to their friends and very quickly you run out of people.
And of course, it costs you money up front which most legit companys never do.
If you are a good salesman, you are much better off selling cars or real estate or advertising for a good company.
If you are not a good salesman, you don't have any business with Primerica |

I have heard of it. I actually had someone come to my house to go through everything with me. They did set up a nice financial plan for me. She tried to get me to sign up to become an associate, but I am already in a home business that is awesome. Primeamerica costs a lot of money to get involved. If you are looking for something in that area, you might want to see what I am doing. |

The company has a history of luring college grads, single mothers and the unemployed to work for them. Can you make money there? Maybe. You can also make money in real estate or car sales. If you are bad at sales then it is not the company for you |

i too was contacted off of monster.com and then did some research before calling them back. it's a scam! they make you pay for a "license fee" that's hundreds of dollars to get in, then after that, it's nothing more than a ponzi scheme. don't fall for it! |
