has anyone ever heard of the company Quixtar? My husband's aunt wants us to get involved in this with her. Supposedly it is to run your own little business. it really doesnt call his nor my attention but she is determined to have us do this with her.
If anyone has heard of this, can you please tell me if it is a good idea or not? If so, Why? |

Hey, there!!! I'm an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and I live in Orange County, California. I just started last November and it works perfectly fine for me. It's not a scam or multi-level like some of these guys say. They don't even mention any factual information. What they're saying are nothing but "hearsays". To those people who say that it's a scam, I feel sorry for you because it's one of the best business models I've ever seen. Even Bill Gates and Donald Trump say that if they could only start over they'd rather choose a business model like what Quixtar has. Of the 9000 business partners Circuit City has, Circuit City says that Quixtar has the best performance and that they create volume "THREE TIMES" the second one. Moreover, it's not true that you "take orders" like one of the guys here said. What part of "INDEPENDENT" Business Owner does he not understand? I watched a show Dateline NBC that says Quixtar is illegal. It was obvious that it was one sided. A couple who was complaining says that they spent $35,000 on books and CDs. That really cracked me up because it was either they were paid or they were just plain stupid. I mean, who would spend $35,000 for tools. When I was starting, I just spent less than $50 on tools but I got what I think was the most important ones, and that $50 came from the income I generated from the business. Let me ask you a question... If Quixtar is really illegal, a scam, multi-level or whatever crap these guys say, how come Quixtar is affiliated with really big companies like Circuit City, Office Depot, Disney, Barnes and Noble, and Dell? Do you think companies with big names like these would want to affiliated illegally? If Quixtar's business model is really illegal how come it's not shut down by the government and it's growing instead... O_o

Don't do it, it's a scam. As someone else already mentioned, it's Amway reborn, multi-level marketing bs. Someone I know got involved with it and wanted me to. I researched the company on the internet and said "no way!", and tried to talk him out of it. Months later, he told me he wished he had listened to me before.
I didn't save any of the info I found, but if you type "Quixtar complaints" into any search engine, you will be amazed at some of the stories. |

Quixtar is a sister company to Amway, that is they both have the same parent company: Alticor. It is an MLM company. If you really want to work for yourself why not run a business that is truly your own and not take orders from others? |
