For sure there is someone that made it. I think many people.
If your question is more focused on the possibility of making out of that a good business it all depends on the idea and the business model.
Are you making the candles? Who is selling them?
The seller should be a person that have time to sell, it means time to make a strategy and plan real numbers. How is it possible? at least 1% of the people that receives information about your candles will buy. (Assuming the product is good). The seller and you should find if that is more than 1% or less; That will help you to calculate the amount of people to contact in order to get your sales goal.
Where are you selling? you need to maximize visibility and sales power. Can you sell on stores of others?
You also need to make a brand, do you have a logo? one mistake in home based business is to try to sell to the neighbor and that means: no good package, no branding because finally "it is home made"; that is in my opinion a huge mistake. Make your products look professional!
Ask a pro to make your logo, a catalog that you could print at home and packaging that looks good with your branding.
And one of the most important things: why your products are better than the others?
Better scents, nicer store with more complimentary products, or more focused products on lifestyles, better bundles (for bath taking, interior design, parties and events, etc).
Try with having a web site or Blog, there are many free services, and participate in organizations where your target market is.
I wish you very good luck! |

depends on whether u're going to make your own candles n jewelry vs. selling products for established companies. Me personally I believe in selling that one of kind stuff(jewelry n handmade candles by u) none of that mass produced stuff. I believe that handcrafted items sell better than mass produced stuff that can be bought anywhere. Sites like Ebay and Etsy.com are a handcrafter's paradise lol.
If u are looking to sell the mass produced stuff please do your homework on the comany. Find out how the payscale works, talk to others who are doing it, find out if they are a reputable company, find out if buyers have had issue with the company(shipping, damaged merchandise etc), find out what the market is like in your area (city, state) and then test the waters.
good luck! |

There are many of us who are making "extra income"++++ in our candle business! We are lucky to have the type of product that is in 90%+ of the homes in the U.S. You can check it out at http://www.gottahavecandles.scent-team.com
But also what contributes to making "extra income" is that you do something that you have a passion for...can be motivated about.....and have the dedication to be successful! I have found such a business! I am excited to be working my home business! And the potential to make a significant amount of money is there for the taking! It "is" happening in this company. (They are always interested in good people.)
Best of luck on whatever you choose. Hope this has helped. |

Never tried the candles but I've tried several others including avon, the latest. I quit searching for years until I finally came across something that actually paid me, something that never happened with all the other companies. Just be sure that any money you put in is always guaranteed. Jennifer |

I am a coordinator for Bead Retreat. Bead Retreat is a company that sells kits of beads and findings to make beautiful pieces of jewelry at an affordable price. As a coordinator, I hold retreats at people's homes and teach their friends and families how to bead. I have made extra money doing this. If you'd like more information, I'd be happy to send. |

Hi.
I am doing very well working for an accessories company called T.F.A. In-Home. We offer jewelry, handbags, wallets, hair accessories, shoes, and more! I think the secret to my success is that T.F.A. offers unique products that are quaranteed and it is fairly new to the home market. There are currently 212 consultants across the U.S. I started as the first consulant in my state and I am receiving a very welcoming responce. Everyone is excited to here about these new products. Of course with any business you get out what you put into it. If you would like more info. Let me know, I'd be happy to tell you all of the details. |

There is always someone, or people making money selling products...somewhere. The question is, do you want to sell jewelry or candles? Are you willing to do the work to become successful and build your business?
I'm a beauty consultant with Mary Kay and I look at those who are successful and those who gave it up. There's a major difference between the two...I find that the most successful consultants believe in, and are willing to "work" the company's marketing plan. The ones who give up and don't earn usually find ways to allow others' opinions to determine their fate. Or they just get busy with life's twists and turns.
The key is to not take rejection personally, be willing to invest in your business, ie. inventory, time, etc...and you will be successful whether you go with candles, jewelry, or cosmetics.
I will add though, our company offers so much more than a great product. The commission structure is far more impressive than some of the others I've checked out, and I've looked at just about all of them for comparison. Women need to re-order their foundation and skin care products about every 3 months, but do we need to re-order a great piece of jewelry???
The money is crazy when it finally starts rolling in...good luck. |

Home based jobs usually
don't pay off. Be especially wary of ads that promise huge annual
salaries; they often require expensive upfront fees with no guarantee.
You risk losing your money and wasting a lot of time and energy. |
