Has anyone tried these work at home jobs that you get through emails?

Has anyone tried these jobs, they seem like scams or is it just me. I could the extra income but they seem to good to be true

There are a few work at home jobs out there. But the ones that are good, your lucky to make minimum wage and some up around $8 an hour. It's not enough income to survive on. I'd suggest if you really want to work from home, is to start your own home based business. There are plenty of options in this area.
My husband and I started our own business over six years ago in this and it's just incredible. We got involved in the telecommunications industry. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services such as local and long distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, VOIP, digital, Satellite T.V. and all the major cellular phone companies have partnered up with them too. How many people do you know that uses any of these services? How would you like it if you could save people money on their services that they are going to be using every day, and make a percentage of everyone's payments? Think about how much money you can make in this industry. It's just incredible.

99% of the time they are scams! They want you to pay them! Don't do it! if you want to work from home try marketing yourself in bookkeeping- if your good at that or doing taxes. But in general THEY ARE A SCAM!!! save your money~!

You know what they say...if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. In my opinion, most of them that you get through your email are scams. If you're thinking of signing up with one, make sure to do some research on the company first!

Nothing but scams, those work and jobs offered through emails. They are also offered in newspaper ads with actual toll free telephone for contact. They are all business but always require you to come up with some money, usually some very little money, but if you think about it, if a thousand people call and send in $10 -$15, add it up and see what they made. Not to mention if they ask for a credit card payment.

First, there are a few cardinal rules I follow for looking for legitimate online jobs:

1) If they ask for any type of fees, RUN FAR AWAY!
2) You will most likely not find a plain ol' data entry job.
3) Work at home jobs are not any easier than regular jobs you do outside the home, anything promising lots of money for doing nothing is a scam or a bad business opportunity.
4) Do not "process payments" for anyone, you could end up in the big house.
5) Is the job they are offering going to "change your life", I doubt it.
6) Legitimate companies will not advertise their jobs on banners or spam mail.

With that said, I have some resources that I use when looking for work at home jobs. One is http://www.wahm.com message boards where you can network with other work at home people and get information about working at home. The other is http://www.workathomedesk.com which is a free site I use frequently for job leads and they also have a wonderful directory of companies that hire home workers. There are many things you get through email that are scams, or at least very hyped up.

An authentic online work at home opportunity is affiliate marketing. This is where you market products for brand name companies. Many of them you may have heard of, or even use their products. There are 10's of 1000's of companies right now looking for people to market their products online. But to be successful you need to have the right tools, programs and training. You are probably receiving a lot of information about possible work from home jobs. I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job.

However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue (whether it’s retail, restaurant, or home-based) will always have start up costs and monthly expenses.

I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. I know a lot about this topic so please forgive the length of this reply. I have a lot of good info for you. I am a mother of two little girls who are actually tugging on my arm as I write this so I will try to be brief. Many people are looking for work from home companies. All the scams definitely create a big problem but also, there is a problem of people misunderstanding the difference between work from home "jobs" and work from home opportunities. There really are not work from home “jobs”. To get that you have to start working for a company in their offices first, then they MAY allow you to take the job home.

Most of the work from home opportunities that are legitimate offers are not an hourly pay type job. They are business opportunities that help you in starting your own business from your home.

What you should do first is to decide if you are simply looking for an hourly rate type job or if you are looking for more of an opportunity for additional income such as what you would make in your own business being your own boss from home. Many say a JOB stands for Just Over Broker and I have found that to be true as well. I never got anywhere working for others.

Small home businesses have some small costs involved, less then $500 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $1000-$5000. It doesn’t cost that much to start and run a home business so you shouldn’t pay it. The real ones will have a small monthly overhead as well. Should be around $50 a month but no more then $75. And everything should be included from your web sites to training and team support to back office accounting and booking. It’s ok to pay this overhead because it’s a business, they cost money. It’s not reasonable to assume you can run a business from home with a website, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, processing and more for free so do keep that in mind as you search.

If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN don’t walk the other way! They never are. I tried them many a times and 3 weeks later I had to buy this and 6 weeks later that. After 6 months these “free businesses” had cost me over $800 on average.
