Have any ideas for a second income?
I am a mom of two babies and i'm working only part time. I was looking for some ideas to start a home business. Got any?

Momof4-5 including my husband
How old are your babies? My husband and I have four, ages 10, 6, 4 and 22 months. We have had our home based business for over six years now. It's an incredible opportunity for you and your kids.
It's a 15 year old world wide company. The largest Direct Selling Telecommunications service provider in the world. In over 19 different countries. They have been featured in several magazines like USA today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company. Donald Trump has endorsed this company as well as uses the products.
They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services such as local and long distance, Internet, Video phones, digital phones, Satellite TV and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, Alltel, Nextell etc have partnered up with them too. You save people money on the services that they are already using and can offer them services that they don't already have. Offer them new services through one of the major cellular phone providers or upgrade and extend their contracts on an existing one or even add a line. This can be done from your home. Every time they pay there bills, you make a percentage every single month. That's just one way you can make money in this industry. Huge income opportunity there.
That is what my husband and I have been doing for over six years. A great way to make a sufficient amount of income and not have to live pay check to pay check.
I created a blog on my yahoo page on Home based Business opportunities. There are several different ones in different industries to take a look at and see which ones you think you'd be interested in. Also a lot of information that you should read about on home based businesses, blogs, reports, scams and the BBB. It's not too long, just some things that people need to know and be educated on.

If you have any further questions regarding home based businesses in this industry, your more then welcome to contact me at kaiden4@aol.com and I'd be happy to help you out.

I would suggest starting a work at home internet business, you can get started for next to nothing and it's way easy to do. The place I am working with will set you up with a few different income streams and will also set you up a free website to promote them all! If your interested check out my website @ http://www.pluginprofitsitesetup.com

No one can tell what you should do. We can make suggestions based on our own experiences, but that may not work for you.
I suggest you think hard about the things you really like to do. Think about unique ways to incorporate those things into a service business or a product. Do you like to throw parties? Open a party planning service. If you are artistic, you could make hand made custom wedding invitations. I think you can see where I am going with all this.

My last piece of advice is to buy a book titled "Go It Alone" by Bruce Judson. I bought a used copy from Amazon for $2.25. In retrospect, I would pay 10 times that and be very happy with what I got out of it. There is a wealth of information on getting started in a single person business and how to keep yourself afloat. And, as a bonus, there are many viable business ideas for the right person. Maybe there will be something of interest to you.

Good Luck.

What city do you live nearby? I can send you to a free, no obligation meeting to learn about our online business. We advertise in USA Today, Newsweek, Business, Success from Home Magazine has dedicated 2 issues to our business and getting ready to do a 3rd (they only do 12 issues a year and out of hundreds of thousands, they choose ours every year!!!) We are member of BBB.

My personal website is www.YourPurchasePower.com if you want to check it out. Good luck!

I'm in a little non-profit activity called "gifting"... with $100, plus your back office fee (under $20 bucks), you will receive $800 in gifts, after you invite two other like-minded people into the program... Guess what, I'm on a team that provides the two other people! I've been in since June 4th and I have my two people already! I'm now positioned to receive 8 gifts of $100 dollars each. Of course, I am re-entered into this $100 cycle after I receive 6 gifts ($600), so that I can go through it again for another 8 gifts of $100 each. After I receive 4 gifts ($400), I get entered into the $250 cycle to receive 8 gifts of $250 each and it keeps going up from there AUTOMATICALLY! These cycles are turning at the same time so you have multiple gifts coming in at the same time... All you have to do is check your back office and make a gift when it's your turn and receive when it's your turn. *future gifts are made from the freely given gifts you received from others! NOT your own pocket! You only gift $100, ONE TIME from your own funds. The power of people's caring! No selling, No MLM, just people helping one another with no expectation but to help someone...Email me if you are interested and I will send you the information!

For fast cash, Ebay and Craigslist are great to raise quick cash. If you have any crafts you create, Etsy is another great site to check out. It is basically an Ebay stores site for handcrafted items.

If you are looking for something long-term, a home based business may be a great fit. Here are some of the options available:

1. Direct sales- while not exactly a business you own, it is a great way to get involved with a company that already has a presence in the marketplace. Some options are Avon, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Discovery Toys, and Usborne. I am an Independent Consultant for Affordable Mineral Makeup TM and love it. I also have worked with Avon and my sister-in-law has good luck with Pampered Chef.

You can also check out a forum that I am a moderator for by visiting http://smartmoms-smartbusiness.com/forum/index.php, it is a forum with many of these types of businesses represented and lots of ideas/help for working from home.

2. Blogging- This is a slow process, but one that can become very lucrative. ProBlogger.net, DoshDosh.com and CourtneyTuttle.com are GREAT resources for this option. Just be aware that this is something you build on, working for free until your traffic increases. Making it not an option for those who expect immediate results (money).

3. Service based business- You can become a virtual assistant to other businesses if your administrative skills are top-notch. Mechanical skills can net work if you have the proper tools. Cleaning services are a good fit for a home based business, obviously you have to leave your house for this one, but it is an option.

4. Ebay- You can have a home-based business selling on Ebay if you reinvest some of the initial money raised into more products/supplies. Just be sure to research what is selling and for how much and remember that what is hot one day may not be the next. Ebay can be fickle, but there are many that are making a nice profit selling on Ebay.

5. Your own website- Just like a "brick and mortar" store, this is a site that you build and market. You have to find products to buy wholesale and resell in your store. This can be more profitable if you are selling your own products, but then you also have to find the time to create the products.

6. Etsy- A little less risky than an Ebay business, to some degree. This site allows you to set a price for your item. The fees are a lot less involved and less in general than Ebay. This is strictly for handcrafted items and supplies.

Obviously, some of these overlap, but I hope this is helpful, there are so many people looking to make extra money anymore, that the scammers will no doubt step up their game with the "get rich quick" schemes. So do your research and find out the requirements for operating a business out of your home (licensing, zoning and other legalities).

If you have any specific questions, drop me a line and I will help as best I can. Good luck!

Hi there,

I've been a member of a site called Treasure Trooper for a while now, and it's great. You get paid to complete offers, surveys, and there are games you can play games to win referrals etc. There are many competitions, on the forum and on the main site which can win you things such as iPods and cash prizes, and best of all, it's all FREE! Check out my page on Squidoo about Treasure Trooper which has more information.
