there's SEEK, HIPPO, and numerous other site to find a job, just type into GOOGLE "job search" and you'll find plenty. it's too bad your only 17, i got a job working an a bar and the money is fantastic, especially when heaps of your friend still get like $12 an hour in fast food jobs |

There are a great many jobs out there for 17 year old. Getting one will depend on your ability to sell yourself to an employer. Here are some examples of jobs. BestBuy sales floor, or cashier. Most of the Malls have retail shops that require staffing. Just start going from store to store. ( you might have to apply online for many of these jobs). You could apply for a receptionest or customer service spot at a car dealer... Most of the drug stores hire after school help. (just don't let your grades drop for the job--really not worth it.)
You could also work a deal with your parents if they can afford it where they will pay you for house hold chores, or good grades. Good luck
PS wanna is not in the english language that I know of. So if your going to be a receptions you should be able to speak clearly and with out slang or the modern version of want to be. |

try a regular resterant. you will prolly get paid minimum wage or a lil more, plus u get tips and if it's a busy resterant u can ern some good pay. |

Get a resume together - even if you haven't had a job - put down tthe courses you've taken in school. Put info about the clubs you are involved in.
Do you have transportation?
I was able find a job at 16 by printing up a resume of classes I had taken. I went around to several local businesses and found that many just needed a secretary or mail person for a few hours in the afternoon.
I was lucky in one respect. I had taken typing in school, but even if you don't have that, people need mail personnel and people who can do file, separate invoices, do all sorts of odd jobs.
You may be able to get on with a small company in your area; and honestly, it can turn into a good summer job and later something more. |
