Having your own website can be a great step for a business! If you dont know how to do HTML or any programming, then it would be better for you to hire someone to do it for you. There are many things involved that can make or break you. If you want to learn how to do it yourself, be prepared to spend a lot of time. You can learn some of the basics from our free HTML help site here: http://www.ourhutch.com/examples/
Just having a website isnt going to cut it either. You need to be sure that it is designed correctly so that people can find you. If you arent in the top 5-10 pages of search engines, then you arent going to have much traffic. Its not easy to get up there either, as there are bajillions of websites out there all wanting to be number 1. |

You probably could do it on your own if you're computer and graphic arts savy, but for really professional results try and search for a company starting up or go through some of the colleges.... maybe their computer information students/graphic designs students may want to assist you.

Get on www.GoDaddy.com and get your dot com, free email and free forwarding all for $10 per year.
Then get a blog on blogger, blogspot or I like wordpress. Pick a design layout, upload any pictures you want and make up a site using a blog.
This is the new way of doing sites, becoming more n more common of an item as well. Even I use to be a web designer who quit cause I see this coming. I myself run my site this way.
I no longer pay for web space, rank position placement on google in such, etc. As the blog will automatically do that all for me. Plus I recommend a YouTube account as this will gain you high rankings in search engines as well as Yahoo Answers. Get on google and put in your name you use here, you'll come up. So make a name for the business and answer a few questions on food to get rankings on search engines.
You can do this all yourself, blogs are free, dot com is $10, email is free, forwarding of dot com to blog is free. Who needs a web designer anymore? |
