lets see I am a manager of a store been in management for 18 years, but i also draw pictures (no people- I can do nature ,cars, animals, etc) I paint murals, I can sew, scrapbook, put silk flower arrangements together, craft anything, raise four teen daughters (that have respect and integrityand that are not to moody) I can come up with a solution to almost eveyone else's problems but my own. |

The fact that you are not looking for some sort of get rich scheme & how to make fast money is a huge plus, regardless of whether or not you know where or what to do.
I have spent about 8 years trying to find something to do from home that worked or actually made me any money at all. However, money wasn't an issue in the beginning, so I could keep on trying different things because I didn't have to worry about bills and what not, we owned another car audio business, so bills were being paid. That all changed a little over 2 years ago when I became a single mom and no longer had that security. I had to find something to pay the bills because there was no way I could afford daycare plus all of the household bills, and I really didn't want to leave my kids.
It takes work, and even some sacrificing on your part, at least in the beginning, but it can be done. I have not had to work outside the home yet, and I won't ever have to. Yes, there were times that money was extremely tight and I was barely keeping my head above water, but I did it.
1. As for living in the middle of nowhere, completely understand that. I grew up in a town of 500 people.
2. My entire family is like your mother. It just gives me that much more reason to try harder just to prove them wrong and show them that I can do better.
3. As for what to do...what do you like? Focus on something that would be an interest to you and go from there.
4. Pretty much any business that you are going to do is going to have some sort of start-up costs involved. That doesn't mean that it has to be a huge amount. I had to borrow the money to start and some people have had yard sales, or found stuff around the home they no longer needed and could sell to get the money they needed.

Michelle, firstly please take out the wrong belief about yourself then look around there are answers to your question.
Have you heard of an internet business?
Personally, I find that an internet business is an easy way to create an autopilot income because:
1. Requires small to zero capital
2. Gets started right away and easily
3. Allows you to work from home or anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection
4. Has unlimited potential to earn money
5. No age or education requirements
6. Doesn't need you to have to have a company
What you need to do is to learn about the internet business as much as possible to discover whether it is for you and what your strategy is. There is free information around. Good luck. |

Read - the millionaire maker's guide to a cash machine for life by loral langemeier.
It is full of practical, step by step advice on operating a small business for very little start up, using skills you already have. How to run a business, promote it, protect it and grow it.
All said and done though it sounds like you want a job - not a business. Business require investments. A business dies without clients and clients come from advertising and marketing - which can cost big bucks.
However - read the book - you may already have a skill that could be a great business for little investment!
