Before anyoe starts to criticize me, yes, I do have a job as a lifeguard and a swim instructor which pays very well compared to my old off-the-books jobs at a pizzeria and a pony farm. I'm just looking for a little spending $, as mostly all of my money is in a CD now and will be put in a Roth IRA as soon as I have everything in order with college and a car. Any suggestions? thanks
it's hard to find a good job nowadays. i've found a great job working online just filling out simple free surveys. check out www.squidoo.com/makemoneyonlineatanyage

What about dog walking, or babysitting, these pay well and by the hour, place a small add in you local newsagents near your home. And its tax free.
I wouldn't of thought anyone would criticize you, i think you are doing really well for your age, good for you.

you can babysit or try working at the mall. some stores may require you to be 18 but just go in the stores that interest you and ask if they are hring and if you how old to you have to be to work there. If someone you know (a family member or friend) owns a business, you could also work for them possibly. I know that some grocery stores hire teens at 16 too- good luck and have fun

Could you get another part time job at another pool being a lifeguard? Could you teach private swim lessons or teach more swim lessons at another pool? You could also clean peoples houses, or babysit, but I know the money in lifeguarding and being a swim instructor is much better than you are going to get paid doing anything else.

There are many ways to earn some extra cash such as those listed here but if I were your age and was wanting some serious cash I would start my own internet biz or market products on eBay. There are people on eBay earning their entire incomes there and supporting families with a good lifestyle.
