Hurray for you! Our state has a small business association, and even though you are talking about handling everything online, they can still be of wonderful service. They can even give you advice on getting money/applying for grants, etc. They are listed under the state organizations and your local chamber of commerce should have a number available for you. They even can hook you up with mentors to help you get things off the ground correctly! For FREE! Check them out! Good luck and I am proud of you!! |

But if its online, you should direct it to your bank account.

I think you'll need to get some education on how to start and some money to start your business. But the owner of WhateverLife.Com was 17 when she started the website that made social networking page layouts. She's now a millionare |

I suppose it could be done, but it wouldn't be advisable if you are under 18. First, you cannot enter a 'binding contract'. Even if it's something on the internet, there are always start up and operational costs to get a legitimate business started. Be VERY careful -- there are a lot of scams out there. Been there - done that!!
Also, you're talking about selling potted plants ... are you planning to grow them? How will you ship them? Have you considered the advertising expense?
You should give this some long, serious thought; and if possible, discuss it with your parents.
Good luck on your decision.
PS - There are pros and cons to PayPal (more cons than pros). Far too much for this column. Also, the Small Business Association requires that you have experience - not only in the business world, but the business you are seeking help for -- at least a year. |

Use paypal. It's easy and safe but you have to link it to an existing account. |
