there are auctions on there but the buy it now is also an option.

I suspect that most items are auctioned, most of the buy it nows are from e bay shops, who may well be selling several of the same item |

I'm sorry but you are wrong probably aroung 60% is auction, it is essentially an auction site but there are options to buy it now and sellers who sell fixed price items. |

Well going on Ebay now is bad. Not much auctioning going on at all far too many BUY IT NOWS or BEST OFFERS. That is just not what it is about. |

I use ebay quite a bit and I don't think the buy it now
is 99 more like 50 if that.
They call it an online shop that's supposed to be
separate from the auction bit....
But I know what your saying.....
and no I dont think so as
I'm a real free marketeer as opposed to western
economic imperialism ie tariffs etc
so more choice for the consumer the better |

The items that are buy now are from online kiosks that are powered by E-bay. The actual auctions, are there, however, it may take some looking to find them, also I believe you can view the auctions by catagory. Try looking at wholesale lots for example. This catagory doesn't generally trade with the buy now feature. Some auctions place a buy now option for those that don't want to "waste time" waiting for a auction to run its course, so the seller can post a buy now option to get a price he/ she would be happy with. Take the time to become familiar with the site, and things will go alot smoother. I had to learn the ins and outs as well.
