im 14,im very VERY mature for my age,im a rather large muscular guy,heavy set,i have a job,well kinda,its like 2 days a week making 10 an hour doing yard work,usually ranking 3-5 hours a day,but ive called every fast food joint in this stupid town theyre all hiring,but not 14 year olds,i like the job im at now,but my dad rags on me,sayin im lazy,i need ta get a job,and my brother in law is 24,and he works 2 jobs,and i want so bad to have my family brag on me,to the point where its makin me cry,i would be so happy if my boss im workin with now will up my days,but im pretty sure he will,its just im scared to ask,help me,im not going to sell candy or nuthin i wanna real job,i have a paper stating i can work.

Most places don't hire under 15- sorry that's just the way it is.
I didn't get my first job will I was 15, and I worked at a movie theater.
I would tell your dad how are you supposed to get a damn job when no one will hire a 14 year old?
Seriously that's harsh- my brother is 16 and still hasn't had his first job. |

most food service jobs have limitations, I'm sure your boss would be happy to have you work more. Just say you'd be willing to work more hours and he'll say yes. there are paper routes but you have to wake up early. As far as you family is concerned, just try to help out around the house, and go have fun with friends so they don't just see you slouching around the house. |

Geez you're still a child. Dad needs to lay off you. The yard work is a great thing. You have many years to have to work when you're an adult. Enjoy being a kid. If it is absolutely necessary, because your family is struggling financially, then try being a paper boy or find a supermarket that might need a bagging boy where you basically work for the customer's tips. How about dogwalking or petsitting (feeding and playing with people's pets while they are away)? You'd be surprised how many people need these services. |

At the age of 14 it's kinda hard... most places won't hire you unless you are at least 16... I would suggest going around to local business where they know you and ask if they have any small jobs they'd be willing to hire you for!

You to remember about insurance. Most companies won't hire anyone under 16, many under 18, becuase it is so hard and expensive to insure a minor if he/she gets injured at work. |

Ask your mom or dad for jobs around the and get them to set a fee for each job. Do every say u want someone to brag on you so much it'll make you cry your brother in law is 24 and I don't know but he may have a family take care of . You say your mature for your age but this question is makeing me think differnt |

don't listen to lord loss. You first ask your parent if it ok for you to get a job and then you should try out baby-sitting or find a store that hiring and will be will you hire someone your age. I got a job at dvd store at age 15 =]. |

start looking around when i was 14 it was mostly hear say jobs it is tough to find any work till about 16 but you could try a paper rout or even try like yard work aroud your house and neighbors and such for some extra cash or even baby sitting i know doesnt sound too exciting but its a start also think about asking people for an internship usually if your young and you start for cheep they will hire and then you have your foot in the door so you can prove what a great worker you are and then they will increase your pay remember take what you can right now its even hard to jsut find a job at 16 and + the economy is every bad right now so TAKE WHAT YOU CAN. |
