Find out if there are any craft fairs or if a local school will be doing a home demo expo for home product sellers.
Make sure you have a marketing plan. Contact info, product info, ingredients etc on the soaps. Find a way to wrap or present them that would catch peoples' attention as they walk past your table. Keep trying. Does your town have a local chamber of commerce? or do you have a small retailer in town that would carry your merchandise? Good luck. |

Nice website but here is the perennial question: what is it you do that separates you from the pack?
It is like farming, it is not difficult to grow crops but it is difficult to get the margin. You have the product now you have to market it.

First, you should get some of your family or friends to try out the soap see if they like the smell and everything. If they like it, take it a step further and go to a local store and try to see if they can sell your soap at their store. Either you do that, or you can advertise in the newspaper or in a magazine. Many people do this and some do become successful. There was this girl on Montel who sold greeting cards to local stores and now her cards are at Wal-Mart. Good luck with everything!! |

Advertise! And I don't mean on YA. ;o) Figure out who your target market is, then find an effective way to advertise to them.
Good luck and hang in there, getting started (by this I mean about 2-4 years) is the hard part, but the rewards will come if you stick with it. |

I haven't done an Internet business but someone told me once something about buying Internet domains from yahoo ,for a small price and register with google.use a bunch of key words and your page will come up when people do searches for products..nice site by the way,nice music and product.Good Luck. |

You could buy a few large baskets with natural jute straw in the bottom; seal your soap bars in wrap and stick little sticker or bow on them; pretty up the basket with a bow and take it to a nearby health food/body care store and ask if they would try your product and if they like it, you would supply them with your soap and they could have a percentage for carrying it for you. You could even make some samplers and take them all over town to the owners/managers of these various stores and make up a business card where they can get back to you with orders. Give them a price list and discounts for large purchases. |
