If you really want to work online, I suggest you start your own business. Your best bet is to partner up with a company that direct sales a product. You can have the company that you partner up with set up a web site for you to sale the products and/or services. . After you've set it up, you'll have to generate traffic to your site as means of either advertisement (which you'll have to spend a lot of money doing) or the more effective way is word of mouth and referals, which are free and more effective. Partner up with a company that gives you monthly earnings from services that you put people on either by in person, phone or from your web site. What I mean is for instance, say you partnered up with a telecommunications service provider, as an example let's use cellular phones. Someone purchase a cell phone from your web site, (or a land line service or Internet service or whatever), the product it'self your able to provide at a whole sale cost as a distributer through the providers. When someone gets on the services, the company pays you a percentage of that person's billing every single month, month after month for the referal from you by word of mouth or by your web site.
Once you decide on a product or products and services, you need to start driving "traffic" to your web site. A lot of work but well worth the effort when your income starts going and rapidly increases. The most effective way I've found is simply word of mouth and referrals. We've had our business for over six years and this has been the most effective way. Loyal customers bring in more customers by the way you treat them, the quality of the items you have and the timely matter of the service you provide. |

There are lots of quick and easy ways: surveys, blogging, emails, gambling, etc. But seriously, a nice sustainable way is to start to create (if you haven't already) your own site - rather than working for someone else.
Develop a simple website the kind you can build yourself. - Find a niche - something you are interested in. Test your niche through Google keywords or something similar. Set up an an adwords campaign and people will come to your site to buy what it is you're selling. Be patient though!
Find or write an e-book.
I'm an executive coach and trainer and wrote my own ebook -
www.coaching-coaches.com which I now sell online.
There are lots of e-books you can find with resell rights. Avoid the spamming scams (waste of time). Best to find something to sell that you are interested in otherwise you'll lose interest when the money isn't coming through.
Making money online is not as easy as some make out. It takes time to develop the knowledge of what works and doesn't and to learn who is just out to take you money.

There are two alternatives: market and sell a product either on Ebay or Craigslist, OR provide a service using a website which is prominently ranked on major search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN.
Unfortunately, there are any number of MLM, survey and scams out there which will waste your valuable time and money.

There are many ways to make money online. The real trick is sorting out the legitimate money-makers from all the scams that are out there (many of which get listed at Yahoo Answers, I'm afraid).
There's a terrific list at eHow that gives more than 25 legitimate ways to make money online. The list covers everything from writing (articles, blogs), to selling photography, to (believe it or not) getting paid for online jury duty, surveys, and focus groups.
There's even a site for making money listening to music and rating it, and another for playing online games.
None of the sites in the article ask you for any money. And while they won't make you rich, you can begin to build up a respectable income.

Some of them have paid me, there are my payment proofs, I update the site every time I get new pay so anyone knows is legit. The work from home jobs and online money making sites that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build and real effort- so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true (and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began and don’t offer any payment proofs on their sites).
