Very good question!!! Compare your ads to other completed auctions and make sure you are writing about the features and benefits to the buyer. Be honest about the condition, size, color and list everything that the buyer needs to know. Make sure to have good photos. Start your pricing low and let supply and demand determine the price. Make the most of the searchable title area for what people are searching for. Don't waste title space with WOW or unneeded things. Cross promote other items in your ads like "see my other auctions for (give teasers)" ... be patient. Most buyers don't bid til the items are ready to close. Make the buyers trust you. Don't try selling thousand dollar items until you have a decent amount of feedback. You will only end up wasting money on listing fees.

Agree with nathan, it's how much profit you can make from what you sell. To increase salel, you may offer combine shipping or give free gift for up to certain amount purchase. Customer satisfication is very important, reply emails promptly and make sure customer has a pleasant shopping experience for repeated sales. hope this helps.

open a store.. used html on your listings to be more professional. Better pictures. Look before trying to sell see what people are selling. Try using half ebay for books and cds.

make a store. but you have to have items to sell or team up with a store and they give you items to sell

kathnjerry
look for items at yard sales or find items you no longer need around your house. look for items at stores that are having end of the season sales. I am sure you will find some good finds soon since they are getting rid of summer items. Good luck on ebaying!!
