Have you checked that the area , you would like to open the business, has compulsary water meters, as this could send your overheads in to obit.. |

hi there first thing you need is a good location and without sounding stereo typical the area needs to be somewhere that people havin got the equipment to do there own washing or have the money to p[ay someone to do it this also keeps costs down where overheads are concerned because the area is likely to be run down.
then rent the washers and dryers in time they will pay for themselves with good profits
JLA are the best company, i know from first hand experience
If you wanna email me regarding any queries i will gladly help you

You need a suitable area with plenty of flats or student quarters for self wash or an affulent area for service washes, suitable site size dependant on projected trade and with the correct catagory of use as planning consent for change of use is expensive, get a specialist laundry fitter such as JMA,to assess your site, plan your set up and costs, for a complete start up with 1000sqm shop,6 washers and dryers, fitted and ready to run about 35-40 thousand, sounds a lot but good easy run business in right area. |

You can start a Launderette in one of 2 ways:
1) The cheapest and arguably most effective method is to call on the Gods of Launder, who will supply and fit your Launderette at a price that's hard to beat. The downside is that they are almost always out of office and as such nigh on impossible to contact unless you employ a spiritual medium.
2) The other method is more expensive, but may get you off the ground quicker and that is to buy a private jet. |

The laundrette was built in 1964 by Chevrolet in order to capture some of the BMC Mini market. Although it was small an cheap it was notoriously difficult to start on cold wet mornings.
If this is your trouble i suggest richening you fuel mixture in the winter months and of course keep it regularly serviced, hope this helps! |

Have you considered connecting jump-leads to the battery of the little old blue-rinsed lady who hands out the over-priced washing powder? High revs and the attendant excitement of a large bag of werther's originals should get it running smoothly in no time. |
