Contact your local Business Link for free help and information on starting in business. They have specific information on food hygiene and the legislation that you'll need to comply with.
Think about what sort of catering you want to do, who your target customers are and how you're going to attract them. Where are you going to prepare food - in your home, in premises or from a mobile unit?
Who and where are your suppliers? Wholesalers, local/regional producers?
What finance do you need?
