Micro-organisms started it all. Apparently these micro-organisms eventually developed into lizards and then into dinosaurs. Then an asteroid hit Earth, killed the dinosaurs, and then the bacteria that survived said, "the dinosaur model didn't work, let's change shape...what do you think?" and then slowly started growing into complex bacteria, then into more complex organisms like worms and such, and then into rodents, and then into swimmers like fish, and then into the beginnings of chimpazees, and ultimately into us.
But any religious person will tell you it was God.
