How do I become a more successful online seller?

I sell through Playtrade but you don't seem to get many sales (or feedback ratings) I'm the cheapest on 99% of things that I have listed but it does not seem to make a difference. I really want to make this work but it just seems so impossible to get anywhere!!

I always post the product within 1-2 working days, sealed and in a jiffy bag, I don't know what I'm doing wrong but people just seem reluctant to buy anything at all or even leave feedback when they do, can you suggest anything?

First of all, I have never heard of playtrade so that could be part of the problem. I'd suggest you check out other places to sell. If you don't want to go with Ebay (depending on how many items you have) check out prostores.com which will give you your own website. Try the trial. Try Ebay for a few items and see if that changes things. Being cheapest isn't all that important. You need to give value. Read your ads as a buyer instead of as a seller. Do you like and understand what you're reading??? Feedback is a good thing but you can't make people leave it. Enclose "thank you" notes to encourage buyers to leave feedback. Get some cheap business cards from vista.com with your user ID and pass them to everyone you know to generate people to check your products. Read about sales and marketing. Don't give up. Diversify your products or concentrate on a niche of customers that want or need what you have and send them articles relating to your products. Know your products well. Know your customers well. You need to get the right customers to see what you have as with any business. Advertise yourself better and advertise playtrade so others can find your stuff.

To get MORE customers you need to further promote Id say. I ve never heard of your business so the firs step is to advertise it further. Provide more details , ask people to rate and for feedback for YOUR benefit.

I like the others have never new about playtrade. You have to put yourself in a different mode of thinking. Lets say you go on a vacation and travel from state to state. What are your needs? Well you need to eat and sleep. What names pop in your head and why do they? Because they are a franchise chain.

Set up a main site for your business and register with various search engines and also open other storefronts at different sites. That way you get a lot more exposure.
