I work from home. I actually kept my job once I had my son. I work for a tier one supplier of Honda Motors. I talked to my boss and there are things that I can do from home...actually lots. I do go into work 2 nights a week and do some catching up. But mostly all of my work is done throug emails. Maybe you could talk to your supervisor and possible start doing some of your job from home.
but besides that I do not know any works at home jobs that are legit. Possible you could start a online store and make stuuf suck as cloth diapers, slings, baby wraps, jewelry, candles and ect.

Try and understand that home jobs will not bring you what you make now in the coporation that your involved in. Home based jobs are just that, a "job". Employers from legitament companies only want to pay the lowest amount possible. So some places have created positions available for people to work from home and be able to do that. They can justify paying minimum wage because the person is working out of the comfort in their own home. It's completely different where a salary is needed because of transportation, and everything else that it takes to get to work. So, if you want to work from home in a job setting, then expect that you will only make minimum wage. After taxes are taken out, your take home will be below minimum wage earnings. It will suppliment your income as you stated in your detailed message from what you wanted, but it won't suppliment it a whole lot. What you need to do, if your income isn't what you want, is look into home based business opportunities. You have the same income opportunity as a traditional business without all the over head expenses. Being from a corporate back ground like myself, running a home based business would come naturally to you, but your income could be far more then what you made in that corporation.
The core of your question of how do you find a legitament "work from home" job, rather it's a traditional type of job working from home, or have a home based business where your job is at home, is simply ask around, do some research, google home based businesses and telecommute jobs. You will find all sorts of things, weed through the scams and find something that makes the most since and something your qualified to do. If you find something that you want to do, but don't know how to do, most companies have training programs in which you can learn the industry as you earn your money. So many places that do this. |

The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it.
