I think you are already on the right track, but you need to be a bit more creative.
Why not hang the rats in the window? This would allow customers to dine in comfort, knowing they were eating in an establishment which had both an experienced and accomplished rodent infestation warden.
Another idea I have is that you could dress up as the Pied Piper of Hamelin, learn to play the flute and dance outside the restaurant dragging a string of dead rats behind you as you gayly step your way around the paving stones outside whilst an employee of yours dresses as a town crier and cries "Oh yay, oh yay, 5 rats today" or whatever the daily rodent cull totals at that point.
Either way, good luck with your business plan.
The key to success is getting noticed.
I once promoted my restaurant USP as "No worries for you when you want a number two" as I had dug a ditch in the patio garden to allow clients to deficate and urinate in, thus avoiding soiling of the interior lavatories.
It worked wonders. |

Try watching some Jimmy Cagney films. I believe that you should enter the restaurant, accuse a member of staff of being a dirty rat, shoot him and collect a fee from the proprietor. |

hey people lighten up!!! it's a joke! who in their right mind would post a big banner saying "in this restaurant the rat population is controlled. this season x rats have been sent to meet their creator. they are all missed by their abundant families"
good joke though. it surely made me laugh! |

Uhhhhhh I think not !...........I wouldn't spend my money eating at a place that advertised in the window x number of rats caught here this week .................Ewwwwwww. i'd call the health department. |

You should think about your target audience, you are not advertising to catch the attention of the restaurants customers but the restaurant itself, you need to know the places where you will be spotted by the actual restaurants. |

If you want to scare your business away you can. Try this go to the city and get the report for Citations, then call the owners and let them know you got the answer, its a problem that they are required to remedy(or they can be closed). |

I am not usre if having a sign in the window stating how many rats were caught is a good idea. ALot of people like to think that rats are a hidden problem and I think the resturant will lose money because people wont come in if the number is high or just the thought of rats there. I know everyone knows they are there but who wants to think about it when going out to dinner. |
