Typically you have to decide what to sell. Good place to start is you attic/garage ... (some people also scour the Car Boot sales & Charity shops :-) )
As for 'How To' ... well why not visit eBay & see if they have any instructions ?
Seems like they should, don't you think ? After all, they have to cope with all 'levels' of ability (including the novice)..
RE: Tax. I believe you are OK if all you are doing is sell your old junk - it only counts as Trading if you buy stuff just to sell it on eBay ..
If you do start Trading, remember all Profits are potentially Taxable, so keep good records of ALL your expenses.. |

I can tell you what not to do.. don't buy one of those books online that promise the world. Ebay will walk you through the process. start small and do it as a hobby until you find what works before you decided to jump in. selling on ebay is a job and takes alot of time. just make sure it is worth you time |

I can also add a thought. If you sell online, ship the second the order comes in. People today are IMPATIENT and want it yesterday, if you can satisfy them with a great product and ship it fast, thats a large part of the equation. |

ebay is fairly simple to start up an ebay business. No one showed me how and I learned simply by clicking on the icons and filling out the forms.
I started and within 2 months am making money investing int ebay's stock.
You also have to have product to sell, obtaining these items is not that difficult, you can obtain just about anything to sell on ebay, good advise is to make sure that someone will want to buy these things and to make you prices reasonable enough that someone will bid on what your selling there.
Ebay also has the information that you want on their site page.
You should have a bank account and credit card handy. |

first you have to register and select a user name and a password for yourself which is free. Then you buy a digital camera that you will need to download pictures of what you have to sell directly on to ebay. Put a price on what you want to sell and see if you get any bids. If the item is sold ebay will tell you, then you wait to get paid, make sure you add shipping charges to the item. You get paid and then you send the item off to the buyer and thats it. ebay will charge you a small commission for their service,but its worth it if your items sell. Good Luck |

first of all, you have to make up your mind what you really want to sell. you take good pics of the items and upload it in ebay... you have to register first thing and foremost...it's free. when you fill up all the necessary details there, you'll get an idea how to market your merchandise... |

I've been selling on ebay for a little over 2 years and I still remember how hard it was just starting out. You can get a free ebay success kit that has everything you need to get started right at: http://smart-money-help.com/free-ebay-kit . The information in that kit will answer every question you have...and a lot more. I highly recommend you get it before you get too far into the ebay thing. |
