Rock Skull | How do I start a fundraiser for my new career as a pirate? |

Pirates don't hold fundraisers!! They pillage and plunder for all of their illgotten goods and then kill any witnesses after they bury their treasure.
First of all, you need a boat, sword (cutlass), and a gun. Then, depending on the size of the boat, you will need a crew and other supplies (supplies to last you until you can steal more). Finally, you need victims to pillage and plunder. Parrott and peg leg is optional.
Maybe you can get more pointers from Captain Jack Sparrow-ARGGGGGGGGHHHHH!! |

Good move! The beauty of piracy is that its self-sufficient. To start funding your career, just become a pirate!
I would suggest trying to find an existing pirate ship and offering to intern for them. The experience you will gain is invaluable. Make sure you make your own maps to your treasure caches - the 'main' map invariably gets lost or torn in two, and the existence of the treasure chest forgotten fairly quickly. Perhaps lengthy time at sea causes memory problems. Anyway, as long as you remember where the cache is, you can return there alone (or with your own crew) and collect the rewards!
The things you think of as idiomatic of a pirate (peg leg, eye patch, parrot) are actually more awards of honour; a pirate does not have all these things to begin with, but rather collects them his career progresses.
Have you considered becoming a privateer? Many wannabe-pirates sneer at the prospect of privateering, but there is very good money to be made, along with legal protections such as health care not afforded to freelance pirates.
Many young pirates try to jump-start their career through mutiny. Whilst this does allow for progression up the ranks, it's worth noting that your average ship hand is a simple soul and might not have the nous to fully complete on such a complicated negotiation. Have your wits about you.
Finally, the lingo. A working knowledge of English and Spanish is essential; Portuguese is useful. Pirates themselves use quite a lot of industry jargon; this is mostly a way of keeping outsiders out. Once you apply yourself, it's fairly easy not to confuse your doubloons with your pantaloons.
Best o' luck, me hearty! Yarrr! |

Start with a car wash, and the ball will start rolling. Tell people what it is for too. You are tapping into an unseen market here my friend. Soooo many people love pirates and wish they would show up again. Then bedtime stories could actually be true! Good luck.. Rrrrrr. |

you dont. pirates steal everything. go steal a treasure chest, steal stuff to put in it, steal a shovel, and bury in the back yard of the house you stole |
