I too have said those words.During my first 2 years as a struggling home business entrepreneur dreaming of making money and leading a free lifestyle, I made many mistakes.
Some of those mistakes cost me money...
Others caused me heartache...
But I have also made a handful of good decisions too, and at the top of that list is my decision to become a member of the IAHBE.
The IAHBE (http://www.iahbe.org) stands for International Association of Home Business Entrepreneurs. In one sentence, it is simply:

As a budding home business entrepreneur, my survival depended on how well I controlled my meager finances and small capital. And yet, every business owner knows the costs associated when starting your business. For example, I had to spend on:

b) Advertising - ezine ads, PPC, leads and print media ads
c) Operations - PC software, productivity tools

Not knowing where all your interests are or your hobbies or anything, it's difficult to to point you out in the right direction. Or refer you over to web sites that would match your interest or business's that you would enjoy getting involved in. I can only tell you what my husband and I do and point you out to a couple different home based business's to take a look at and see which one would be best for you.
Over six years ago, my husband and I started our home based business in the telecommunication's industry. It well supports our entire family. We have 4 children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1.
We got involved in a 15 year old world wide company that had been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. We offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway. How many people do you know, or know of, that have one or more of these services? How would it make you feel to be able to save people money on services that they are already using and paying for every day anyway, and everytime they pay their bills, every single month, month after month, year after year, you get paid a percentage? Think about the income opportunity in this industry. It's just incredible! There is so much money involved in this industry it would make you sick.

What are your interests? There is no way to give you a targeted answer without more detail. Do you wish to start a business online or off? Give some thought to the niche which you would prefer to do business in and then take the time to research the niche. You need to find a good home based business that you beieve in and can stick with. There are lots of ways to find them, by asking around people you know, looking through search engines for home based business ideas, you will find thousands that way. The key is to find one that feels right for you and do it.
I believe strongly in the connection between good nutrition and health. I believe in whole foods and I believe in doing my part for the environment. I found a company that shares my values. And people within the company that I feel that I can relate to and work with.
Also, we have a great system does advertizing for us and we have some great teachers with lots of experience that help us too.
