I'm not trying to be a smart as$. People appreciate bluntness. I hate it when people beat around the bush. Talk it out with him.
Or I guess you could say "Hey dummy--I'm suing you." |

just be frank and tell your boss you were offended with his comment. they have to respect you for your feelings too. |

It purely depends on how your relationship with Boss is:
By now you must be knowing -
a.whether he really meant what he said or
b.he just burst out of frustration.
If a, then catch up with him when he is good mood and just let him know that you felt bad
If b, just ignore things will be fine since he really did not mean it!
Last but not the least if you do not have a good relationship with him, then just draft a simple e-mail and let him know. Its important to not to further add to his feelings through the e-mail, as a result take care the way the mail is drafted. |

Approch him in his office , off by yourself with no one around and talk to him about what he said to you and explain to him that it has offended you and ask him what he meant by it?
maybe you just miss understood his meaning.. better find out before it causes a conflict.. Jobs are hard enough to go to with out having a conflict with the boss.

My training is in communications/ employee relati ons. When heading into a possibly confrontational situation always share with that person someth ing that you like about them. Then as you progress toward your point leave out "but". By saying but you have just cancelled everything you just said, and it initiates confrontation.
For example "John I appreciate the training and helping in my development I hope that I can exceed your expectations. In order for our working relationship to continue to grow I must share with you that what you said about females really offended me." Good Luck |

Just be honest with him. It might also be a good bet to have someone else there, (Asst. manager, someone along those lines) just in case your boss decides to be an *** about it, you have an impartial party there, and there's no he-said, she-said drama. Good Luck! |

You could use that phrasing that goes like "When you said ____ it made me feel _____." This is some kind of technique that's supposed to allow you to say what you feel without putting down the person who bothered you. |

You need to tell him who it is. Tell him right on his face that you don't like the comments that he makes. |

It's best to be honest and let him know as soon as possible. But be careful that you're emotions are in check so you don't start yelling or crying. Just tell him that you didn't appreciate the comment and if he would refrain from using that language / talking about that topic / whatever, that you'd appreciate it. Turn around, and walk away. |

If you are intimated in looking at him in the eye, try to call him over the phone. If you are bothered by his words, the only solution is to confront him. This can be done in a pleasant way or professional way.
If you cannot do the above, the only way to get around it is -"to forgive and forget" |
