Its hard,but you have to have a little attitude.Never pressure any one,and demand the same back.They cannot do without you.Be stern and business like.Dont listen to their money problems,we all have those.Dont explain how to do job.Everyone trys to get the best of me too.Sometimes the hardest part of my work is dealing with these people.Sometimes we must cut are losses.Charge them the same as anyone else and add a little extra for your troubles.Or just tell them they will have to wait until you get slow, |

Post a sign in your business that states "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason." Then, when you have a difficult customer, politely state that you do not believe you can assist them further, and it might be best for them to try a different place. |

Really depends what type of business u r in but basically u could try telling them that although u value their custom u r very busy at the moment and unfortunatley u wouldn't be able to give them the service that they deserve.

It depends on what business you are in. The best way to get rid of a customer before they become a customer (if you get that!) is to over-price your services so it forces them to look elsewhere. If you are in retail, it's more difficult - but offering discounts or threatening to put prices up "shortly" will force them to make a choice quickly. Nobody likes to pay more than they have to! One of our (UK) tv shopping channels has an 'offer hour' where their product is (say £200) -towards the end they say it'll go up to £275- - the phone lines then light up but the viewing figures for the next hour (when it is at full price) drop. Customers have clearly been forced to buy now or leave. |

"Walk away" and don't give them your ideas. I was buying socks the other day, and the sales person stood there and waited right in front of me while i was choosing which socks to buy. I like to take time with these things, why do I want to be pressured by someone else to buy? |
